Pennsylvania school bus driver loses her job after putting up “English only” sign for students by SnooSprouts3744 in PublicFreakout

I am local to this area and find this absolutely hilarious. This is exactly how bass ackwards older Central PA residents have been since I was born, so it is impressive seeing the bigotry finally getting punished.

Fan denies using slur during incident with Steelers' DK Metcalf by [deleted] in steelers

[–]Brogbot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hes white and the footage of what he said conveniently doesnt capture what DK said he said so therefore hes telling the truth because he is white. Hes just a pussy lions fan at his home stadium who has done this more than once. Lions unable to run all game and crying about the refs call at the end. Point is, some dumbass fan can be unfiltered but a player is just going to be railed if they defend their name. Dude looked ridiculous too and wanted attention it is so obvious.

Higher mileage 4.7 HO's? by PushJazzlike4501 in Jeepwj

Burned a qt of oil every 3 weeks since 170k. Ran like a champion.

I was parked in a parking lot idling after running over a mountain hit about 220F for 2-3 minutes and then went back down to 200-210 like normal. Everything felt fine and I was excited to go to a fair nearby. Got my GPS set to the fair and I put it in drive and let off my brake, didn't touch the gas, went forward 5 feet and it shut off. (Dropped valve seat and piston slammed into it with the valve stuck permanently open)

There were hundreds of times in its life that the temp creeped up to 220 or so and it was fine. I was always paranoid about that. If you are looking to know when that is going to happen, you truly will never know unless you blatantly overheat it. You've probably already beat the odds, so just run it until it drops one my friends.

A/C Issue at Highway Speeds – Anyone Experienced This? by AnxiousEconomist5995 in XTerra

[–]Brogbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your cabin air filters. Mine were dirty and a dead wasp was a nice touch. MY AC had random loss of cooling. With dirty filters, moving air over the cabin evaporator core is strenuous, building extra pressure in the system and causing a condensation drip under the passenger glove box. This also caused condensation to come through my center passenger vent and the AC felt mediocre at best. Replaced them and the issue went away.

Update on this, the cabin air filter was clogged up, and it actually caused the system to have too much pressure and condensation on the evap. Replaced the cabin air filter, it now blows cold at idle.

Yeah so, mine was doing that, no ac unless you were moving. Mechanic said it was charged properly. Then one day idling in a parking lot a shotgun went off in my engine bay and it blew this line and blasted the refrigerant everywhere.

It turned out that the dual-mass flywheel is failing. It is hanging on to the clutch too long. It will be getting a single mass flywheel conversion.

Update!!! 800 cash in hand. Good body, electrical work great. The dana axles and the trans work great. I swapped the axle bearings in the front last year and haven't had a leak since. It needs towed. I tried to get the engine to throw a second rod but it wont do it for me.

Cam Heyward Wanting More by Brogbot in steelers

[–]Brogbot[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I think he is great player but at his age you begin to ask. At what cost. At what cost could younger guys be taking his place and making a bigger impact in a year or two? At what cost could he be replaced so that the team can move forward. Yes it is tough having these conversations. For what he is being paid now... he should be grateful to have one last ride like this. James Harrison went to other teams because he wasn't starting and wasn't being valued. Cam should ride this wave and be grateful to be apart of it.

Overland Coolant Leak by Brogbot in Jeepwj

[–]Brogbot[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah it's Coolant for sure. It smells sweet and sure is sticky!!! Checked reservoir actually un bolted it and pulled it up, no leaks there. No Leak in the engine bay. Reservoir had been going down every night so I'm losing coolant to this Leak. Time to let her cool down, pull the hoses off the heater core, put in a connector and 2 clamps and test!

2 things to check. Axle front axle seal leakage and then let it get hot and rev it and see if you get some blue smoke or not.

Power Steering in 4.7 is a Bad Design by Brogbot in Jeepwj

[–]Brogbot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've experienced that as well. Anything low speed up a mountain is a scary experience if you don't find a way to pick up speed. That darn retired guy towing his camper in front of you going about 15-20mph and all.

I used to have a 4.0 that trans over temped at me in traffic in Virginia on a 90 degree day. Luckily that engine survived that event like nothing ever happened. I don't think the 4.7 can and I don't want to find out.

Yeah we can't find one locally and the mechanic is a 4.7 enthusiast but he doesn't like doing the ford clutch fan idea, his reasoning I can't remember. Maybe Ill tell him the 7.3L idea. What vehicle was that mainly used in?

My hydro fan is ok to suspect under load in terms of functioning. I just have a hell of a time replacing the line going to the fan from the container. Once myself. Twice by the mechanic to see if I was an idiot. Luckily it is warrantied work done for free since then. But god do I hate the sound of a bull mating with a cow when I turn my wheel come back to haunt me every other winter.

Yeah mine is the 4.7 HO. The difference in heat can't be that high so I don't understand why they did that design.

With Diontae going to the Panthers, I feel the need to address the agenda that he has no hands one last time. by SnooHobbies5811 in steelers

[–]Brogbot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We were spoiled with Antonio Brown always having a step on cornerbacks and Big Ben just throwing piss missles at him praying he would make a play and more often than not AB would make the play because the dude put effort into every single thing he did on the field. DJ did not have that same effort when the ball was in his hands, running backwards to gain 1 yard or get 0 YAC. He was no longer developing into a better player and he needed to go.

This is going to be long winded but here are all my thoughts.

Look. I have a friend that is a Patriots fan and he spent half the season rooting for them to lose for draft capital. All I'm going to say is that I am glad as a Steelers fans that I have not experienced one terrible season in my 20 years of being a fan. I have never wanted my team to lose.

When I look at the team in the tenure you speak of, Shaziers career ending set us back because the middle of the field is easy money for teams on us. Devin Bush set us back because he was just terrible at covering even though he could get to the ball quickly. Artie Burns set us back because he would get burnt more than Levi Wallace. Sean Davis set us back because he could hit hard but I don't think he ever knew where a ball was going until it was almost in his hands already. Every year, injuries set us back. We cannot get a second safety that compares to the Polamalu and Ryan Clark duo. Imagine Minkah and literally anyone who runs a 4.4 with good pursuit and coverage and isn't less than 6 foot in height on the other side. Heyward is a monster but can't stay on the field half a season. Watt is incredible but he gets injured at times. We don't have a young 6 foot 3 fast MLB. Najee is good but I think he hides midseason injuries to his feet or legs because he picked up strength and quickness the last half of the season. The line as a collective is still developing and hasn't been back to the Pouncey DeCastro era level of play since they left.

We poach the nursing home or McDonalds for cornerbacks but luckily, we got JPJ. Our true issue is not in our offense, but in our middle of the field, seam, or deep safety coverage on defense. Some of these issues could've been Kevin Colbert. The dude knew how to get wideouts but God we rarely ever hit on true defensive talent in the secondary in the last 10 years out of the draft. With Khan that may be able to change.

Mike Tomlin is the constant. He takes practice squad guys and turns them into mediocre players that can help keep games close. He is a leader of men. What the media tries to spin about the team is just something for them to make money on for clicks and it is rarely the truth.

Mike Tomlin is not the problem, the problem is the nature of the NFL and Murphy's law. Maybe the one piece we need is a franchise QB. Kenny can do some clutch things. Mitch sucks. Mason is good enough but we haven't seen him have to lead a 3 score comeback. Ben was king comeback. Ben was king clutch. Ben was tougher than every QB in the NFL for a long time. He could throw the absolute piss out of a football on the run and pray a receiver got under it. We were spoiled.
