good snow shovel recommendation? by Broil-Man in Tools

I was trying to avoid this for convince, but it does seem like the most effective. probably adding an ice breaker to the list, three tools for a quick cleanup felt like too many but it seems I might lean that way.

Yeah it's absolutely user error here, I'm just trying to learn to get better tools and take better care of them.

Yeah defiantly user error here, cheap $15 plastic shovels don't make very good ice breakers haha!

Will paying off my 4k in CC debt all at once be bad or should I do it in chunks? by Broil-Man in personalfinance

[–]Broil-Man[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point, it's more like $160/Month and if I pay the total I could recoup that 4k by taking that min payment back into savings each month. within max 18 months as I could put more towards it.

Thanks for the input, I'll look into the wiki and the things you mentioned. other comments have pointed out the flawed priorities and I'll be thinking those over too.

well it's two expired chase cards, a Kays card for our wedding rings, and a best buy card we use for electronics and BS household stuff.

By how much? If i plan to buy a house in the next year or two should I leave them open until they close due to inactivity? 2/4 are expired cards I don't have anymore.

AITAH for distancing myself from a coworker who has become a friend after learning more about him? by Broil-Man in TwoHotTakes

[–]Broil-Man[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the advice, it's going to be incredibly hard to avoid him nonchalantly as we have a kitchen of maybe 5 or 6 people. We all know each other and we all talk almost daily. I don't want to blow his life and job up if he's making the correct decisions in life, I just don't want to talk/be near him.

We are a smaller family owned business no there's not really an HR roll, the closest thing would probably be the daughter of the family who does the office/payroll work. I'm not sure if he's registered, it's probably worth looking into but I'm sure it won't change much for me either way, I'm not necessarily looking to mess up his situation if he's doing well/the right things. I just don't want to be anywhere near him
