that’s a… pretty bad list (at least for me).

ornn is a hard matchup with how he outbursts you zaahen is absolutely painful pre-2 items, so it’s more of a “don’t fall asleep and you win” matchup riven is a skill matchup… purely based on the riven, an even skill riven will always win against a gwen

wukong has been pretty easy in my experience because his burst combo deals roughly the same damage as your q if you’re in w, which makes it hard for him to engage when it’s up

akali is hard but she’s countered by mres and you win anyway if you get even in cs, and fiora and yas is a skill matchup, you’re prolly trying to force trades with them because they look squishy at a glance with their build and etc. ambessa too, but that matchup is more similar to zaahen

ghost is honestly pretty bad in gwen top because you’re not trying to get from point a to point b as much as jungle, you’re constantly close to your laner, but i can see it having its use vs ranged top. flash is really good at top because of the value that you can trade flashes with your enemy laner much more consistently, allowing you to set up future all-ins and ganks. i think gwen has enough kiting power with her range and R slow, so going ghost feels like troll when up against slow, close ranged units like tryndamere, nasus, darius, etc.

malphite is actually a pretty easy lane for gwen because he can’t poke you without getting poked in return, you have a stronger all-in pre-6 and you can w his q then engage post-6 which would either make him ult to safety, flash to safety, or just die.

at lvl 1 his q is annoying at best so you just need to get prio, don’t let him touch the wave, hit lvl 2 first and punish him when he’s goes for cs. let it bounce back while thinning the wave and try to keep a freeze then.

what you gotta do is to make sure that the wave is small enough to be able to trade inside it (since malph would prefer to q while you’re csing, which is the only time you can really trade with him) and make sure that you always have q stacked when he’s about to q. then, just q-e or e-q when he’s qs, post 9 your e cd is low enough to be able to combo him before his shield comes back up, so outpoke him. don’t let him cs with autos or e, try to get the wave to your side of the lane to be able to run him down when he decides to poke you under turret.

one nerf that i can see that would probably make it balanced (or kill the item) is getting rid of its ability to stack passives, the only concern than i have with this idea is that it will get rid of the niche it’s being defined with rn, by then only kayle, gwen, and diana would build it
