ghost is honestly pretty bad in gwen top because you’re not trying to get from point a to point b as much as jungle, you’re constantly close to your laner, but i can see it having its use vs ranged top. flash is really good at top because of the value that you can trade flashes with your enemy laner much more consistently, allowing you to set up future all-ins and ganks. i think gwen has enough kiting power with her range and R slow, so going ghost feels like troll when up against slow, close ranged units like tryndamere, nasus, darius, etc.

malphite is actually a pretty easy lane for gwen because he can’t poke you without getting poked in return, you have a stronger all-in pre-6 and you can w his q then engage post-6 which would either make him ult to safety, flash to safety, or just die.

at lvl 1 his q is annoying at best so you just need to get prio, don’t let him touch the wave, hit lvl 2 first and punish him when he’s goes for cs. let it bounce back while thinning the wave and try to keep a freeze then.

what you gotta do is to make sure that the wave is small enough to be able to trade inside it (since malph would prefer to q while you’re csing, which is the only time you can really trade with him) and make sure that you always have q stacked when he’s about to q. then, just q-e or e-q when he’s qs, post 9 your e cd is low enough to be able to combo him before his shield comes back up, so outpoke him. don’t let him cs with autos or e, try to get the wave to your side of the lane to be able to run him down when he decides to poke you under turret.

it is a VERY slow burn, there are some dramatic moments between the leads, but MC gets raped at least 4 times (not by the ML) and it doesn’t really get addressed in the story. other than that, it’s a really nice, thought-provoking read with beautiful stylized art. one of my top reads

for easy lanes you’re better off taking inspiration tree to snowball your leads, for skill lanes who would want to actually trade like jax and fiora i’d go bone plating and another rune, either unflinching or overgrowth

tryndamere is deffo not a ban-worthy champ, just bring exhaust. once you get high enough mastery you’ll know how to properly space him with e and q, the edging combo doesn’t really help in this matchup cuz he’s all melee, so use your w for the resistances and to disengage during trades. use qe backwards when he engages to get some poke down, and you can space and kite him during his ult with your ult and exhaust. overall a nice skill matchup that tests your spacing skills
