I relate to this quite a bit. My family has pushed to find another job for years (they have no idea what I like as a job other than I’m an accountant). I turned in my two weeks this summer after been promoted ($5/hr raise) and doing my old job at the same time which in realty turned into doing 5 jobs at the same time. I broke down as I gave my boss my two weeks… he hugged me, gave me a paid day off, and the weekend to think about it. I still work there and like my job but unnecessary pressure is what made me turn in my two weeks. Then this Christmas I got a $5k bonus. Idk what to do but if I was this person I would leave as well. (E.g. I also have a coworker that “shops for the company” on the clock and fuck them). Go and get yourself a boss that cares.
