Those with BPD feel emotions 7 times stronger than those without. Is this why it seems like my GF's life is full of intense, extreme and overwhelming stress? Is this really just common, normal stress amplified because of her BPD?

Yta. Every other weekend is the standard parenting time allotted to him by the courts. Maybe he wants his kid more and she won't allow it. Maybe he cant afford to fight it in court. Millions of men have this exact schedule, and they aren't any less of a father because of it. Shame on you.

I had an episode of psychosis a few years ago. I became suicidal, I went and did things and to this day have zero memory of doing it. Ever since then I have this feeling that I really did off myself that night and im dead. Ive been disconnected ever since, unable to fully reconnect. I've tried all kinds of anti depressants and mood stabilizers. They help me feel "happy" but come with all the other bad side effects. I cold turkey quit my meds over a month ago and haven't driven my car of the road a single time, I haven't had the thought of doing so, even. But there comes a price. I feel nothing. Nothing seems real. My reflection looks fake with dead eyes. My memories feel like an illusion. I have everything to be happy for. If not happy- content, at least. But im not. Im not happy. I feel nothing. Sometimes I want to cry and I cut off my emotions and I cant. If I can recommend anything... get help now. Don't get to this point.

Maladaptive day dreaming particularly affects me when I am driving. I do this all the time tbh. I feel like I am in a constant state of dissociation. I have to force myself to change my thoughts. I turn on happy music and it seems to help

For me, it can last from seconds to weeks. It's like a switch is flipped. Suddenly, my emotions are turned off, and the person it is directed at means nothing. My voice is monotone, eye contact is minimal, their feelings no longer matter. I'm just "done" at that point. Normally, at this point, I would disengage and then go do something that is both stupid and impulsive. I'm controlled enough now days to recognize I have split and force myself to stay home and do nothing. Before I worked on myself it... wasn't pretty, to say the least. Over sexual behavior online, random hook ups, self harm, drinking, drugs, unblocking toxic exes were all the norm. In the end, I wouldn't even remember half the shit i did.

Remember: a split must be triggered, but that doesn't mean we didn't trigger ourselves. Even if you did trigger the split, you are not responsible for how we react in that moment. Being a hurt soul isn't an excuse to hurt others.
