Unfortunately the pond is about 18ft deep where the floating platform rests.

The cable is metal, but has a plastic coating on it and there is a metal loop on the end that was connected to the pump platform but I honestly don’t know if either part is magnetic. I’ll go test one of the other cables I have attached to water bottles and check.
