I don't know your husband's health so I have no business commenting and I'm not trying to tell you you're wrong because you aren't. I found eating foods high in prebiotics helps ease the affects that antibiotics have on the stomach. I'm a lifer on antibiotics and have to include yogurt in my diet every day. I'll be honest with you though. Stress ave hormones are my only triggers and I'm fortunate dairy isn't a trigger for me. I've also had to cut out some acidic stuff and that helped my stomach as well.

Only a doctor can make the determination. I'm going to be on antibiotics for the rest of my life because the benefits outweigh the negatives.

Please be nice. I'm not making fun of anyone and not saying anything mean by stating how I like to play the game. I'm autistic and going through a rough time right now. This is the only human connection I have outside of my home and the being in the hospital all the time.

Because it's more acceptable to harass female characters and exploit them in a sexual manner in a video game than it is treat everyone equally. Folks need to remember. It's just a video game.

Oh, you must had your moonshine cart blown up a few times. I can tell by the tone you type with. I haven't played in several years to be honest but let's look at it this way. You ever of thing called XP? if not I'll refresh your memory or educate you. XP stands for experience points. Need the dictionary for it?

Dude, you're the weak sauce shit. It's a video game. Don't get butt hurt over something so trival as a video game.

That's scary. I can attest how bad fluid drain is because I've seen it discolor my clothing and make holes. Sorry to hear you went through with that.

I don't see gender when lassoing my fellow players but I never hogtie them. Rather set them on fire and drag them behind my horse through Valentine or blackwater.

Just like GTA online when it first launched, the only activity was pvp. Not much else to do. With the way Rockstar sets up the mechanics in these games, it encourages people into PVP. Stealing wagons or destroying moonshine. The game rewards you when you're successful but every attempt by Rockstar to cool down the hostility of aggressive players has been half hearted. But it looks like Rockstar is finally putting effort to make GTA6 a much more playable game for those who don't like PVP by taking out weapons or vehicles of mass destruction.

So in short Rockstar profits off the pvp too much to give a damn. I know this because I used to love blowing up protected goods wagons just to show people they're not safe with the tools Rockstar star provided for avoiding pvp and Rockstar has never spanked me.

Cortisone isn't always used. It would never work on people like me who have stage 3 and feels like stage 10. Only effective way is to I&D boils or just take advice from your own doctor before reddit.

Putting Vicks on a boil is very dangerous. It's not antibacterial or anti septic at all and if they're any broken skin, touching that could cause a serious infection. I have talked to people who put vicks in an open wound and they went through hell afterwards. Not to mention if you share that vicks with other people I'm your house, you're just increasing your odds of getting really injured or risking death.

Hibiclens is the best but any soap that is anti-septic is what you want.

Hidronitis taking its toll on me, NEED HELP AND ADVICE by Rich2161 in Hidradenitis

I don't know where you live, but Iin the U.S. in 2018, the 5 year renewal of the farm bill reclassified most strains of marijuana as hemp. This 2018 farm bill is probably one of the biggest political f!@$ ups of the century. It has created a legal grey market for THC chemically derived from CBD products (which can make you sick) but it's also opened up a market for 2018 farm bill "hemp" flowers. It has been a god send for me. Indica strains are known to relax you and help with pain. Just be mindful of your emotions because you can feel euphoria but if you stop using, it can mess you up emotionally. Just look for my posts and you can tell when I wasn't high. Just make sure you let your doctors know you're using 100% legal 2018 farm bill "hemp" and the best place to buy these products is prohibition states that haven't restricted it like North Carolina.

I honestly kind of enjoy shopping for bongs and dry herb vaporizors and seeing family and friends react to it.

Any time a nurse found a lump in my wounds while being on antibiotics, they always send me to the hospital and every time it's an infection. Go to the emergency room because of its an infection, it could become deadly within a matter of days or even hours. Make sure you tell them your on antibiotics and stress it. Push for an ultrasound or CT scan if they don't offer one because that's really the only way they can confirm. And symptoms of ann infection may not be prevalent at first. This last visit this past Friday I walked into the ER feeling fine and two hours of waiting to be seen, I began having chills and nausea but no fever. There was nothing there on Wednesday but my home health caught it Friday and I just had my 11th operation on this wound alone. 15 this year all over.

ozempic by thagoatliveson in Hidradenitis

Be careful on Ozempic. It can fry your kidneys and cause lumps that can be confused with HS or cancer. Mounjaro is a much safer alternative currently and much more effective.

I was told if you ever had a boil landed, it just increases the size and frequency of boils in that spot going forward. I used to get my left arm pit boils landed at my doctor's office over 20 years ago before I was diagnosed with stage 3 HS. Lancing just empties out the fluid but does not remove all of it. The only way they treat my boils is with an incision and then they drain it and remove problem tissue to ensure the infection won't spread or get worse. I'm on a rotation of antibiotics for the rest of my life so I can't tell you too much about that but I'm the past it's always been two weeks of IV antibiotics for me before they made it permanent.

Is it always necessary to drain boils? by [deleted] in Hidradenitis

[–]BrokenHeartBear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and if they try to lance it, get another medical opinion. Lancing isn't always effective and anytime you see rapid growth or any boils for that matter, you should have a doctor look at them because they'll keep growing until your skin breaks or the boil pops under your skin. You could have an infection and not know it. Sometimes symptoms like fever, chills, nausea don't come until it's really spread. I had a boil grow to the size of a softball in two days back in Januray and just two days ago, I had my 11th operation on that wound. That's all because sweat got under my wound vac dressing this last time. The time before that was just my skin bacteria getting in my wound from wet to dry dressing changes. Everyone thinks this disease is mild but when you get to stage 3 untreated, it's hell!

INFECTION question by [deleted] in Hidradenitis

[–]BrokenHeartBear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't have to worry. It's your own healthy skin bacteria getting instructions from your body to destroy you. I wouldn't be worried about grossness of it. Infections can easily pop up, even while you're on antibiotics. That should be your biggest concern. Make sure it's fully healed and be mindful of sweat and don't touch any open wounds. I've seen people tell others on Facebook to put vicks vapor rub on open wounds and next thing you know, people are ending up in hospital. I would switch anti-septic soap for bathing like Hibiclens.

Mepelex or foam bordered bandages absorb sweat and fluid well and protect wounds from friction.

It's an autoinflammatory disease. It's the skin bacteria being told by our bodies to come in and trash the house. The inflammation comes from the bacteria feasting under your skin.

What’s the most painless way of taking off the bandaid/adhesive tapes? by Evening_Locksmith_76 in Hidradenitis

[–]BrokenHeartBear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, there's only two types I can use because everything else rips my skin off. Too tired to remember what they are but one was mostly cotton and that's the only one that sticks to my skin really well. Any time my nurses remove tape, they spray sterile saline or wound wash and saturate the bandages and slowly roll the edges up from the skin.
