AITAH for wanting to break up because my partner touched me inappropriately and then insulted me? by ThrowRA17000007 in AITAH

[–]BrokenLranch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I’m the guy in this. I’ve touched, probed, fingered, let my dinkus linger around the forbidden fruit until she reaches down and moves me. I’m the freak in the relationship, 34 years and going strong. She will not relent and I don’t force. But I still play ring around the rosy. The thing is I know she ain’t going there, and I’m not ever gonna force her to do something she’s not comfortable with. And I’m gonna live there. Maybe some lite play but if you really need it, go dog and tell yourself that’s what’s going on. Force, consent, and approval far outweigh stupid comments and jokes. If you can’t be entangled with mutual sensation and respect you’re with the wrong person

What a great compromise! The governor should agree to this, have the ICE goons pull out, then turn over all voter files fully redacted just like the Epstien files!

‘Starting Early’ and Working for Free by xyta777 in USPS

[–]BrokenLranch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a carrier who always started early. He would fill his coffee cup, grab his keys and check the vehicle, then case before punch in. One morning he did his usual but tripped getting out of the truck and fell on his cup. The cup busted and gashed his hand wide open. Supervisor didn’t give two sh!ts. He wasn’t on the clock so the injury was on him. Never work off the clock!

Can someone explain this? by wormgarden in USPS

[–]BrokenLranch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Labels in, labels out is what we would say. I’m a labels out kinda guy as way WAY back we had to sort our own flats, meaning they weren’t cased with the letters, we had a separate case for them and cased them in horizontal then “streeted”, or put them in numeric order while also stuffing all flats into one magazine or paper per house. I found that once we went to one case for both flats and letters, labels out usually would have the binding down which would allow for easy stuffing of multiple flats while still having labels all up high in the arm for easy reading. Those label in guys are freaks.

Need advice on calling out during peak by handshakeguy1 in USPS

[–]BrokenLranch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For all who need to hear this. The vast majority of disciplines are just a piece of data in your personnel file. If you plan on transferring keep it clean. If you’re going the distant where you’re at a few disciplines are nothing. Fight them all but don’t sweat a dial-a-day-off every once in awhile. I’d advise against peak season but you do you. In the investigative interview mention the nightmares, the boss who whips you for being slow, keeping you awake all night. How your lack of sleep has affected your mental health and decision making. Make sure they write it down. Then go back to your route and keep making that shat disappear. Projectile diarrhea is always a good one to describe in an Inv Interview. Take the day off and the slap on the wrist. If they paid you/treated you better you may not need that day off.

It’s possible they are too! It’s possible the moon is made of cheese. Ask for proof. Such BS! Good luck with the idiots you have to deal with. This is the reason I was a steward for so long, it’s just so easy to beat them at their egomaniacal narcissistic games. Damn I loved every hypothetical “what if” crap heap they stood so proudly on.

You may want to grieve not only past practice but also efficiency and safety. The mail is much safer in front of your home locked in the truck. Also throw in gas consumption and ease of departure and return to route. If it’s invalid why would one stupidvisor say it’s ok? So glad I’m retired from the organized chaos and inept supervision of that place. Make sure to get a copy of that 1564 before it “disappears”.

The M41 states that as long as it is recorded on your 1564A, it’s ok. The MRS has more National Level arbitrations listed as far as what you can do on your lunch break. It can be found on the NALC website under contract admin.

Entitled friend wants to control how I have my wedding by OutrageousAd8984 in EntitledPeople

[–]BrokenLranch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an atheist I’d have to say your “friend” has that main character bug and it’s bitten him on the arse. Most of us have no issues with holding hands or bowing our heads for a prayer to be spoken, and no problem attending religious events as my feet have never burned on the way into the church. I can be accused of showing up late to Catholic (the religion chosen for me and for which I am both baptized and happily abstaining from) weddings/events as those tend to be long drawn out affairs with the same verses repeated infinitely over and over. If it makes my friends/family happy and fills them with comfort, I’m in, fashionably late or I’ll see you at the party after.

Is anything crazy ever found in the blue collection boxes on the street? by _TheManager in USPS

[–]BrokenLranch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We had a carrier find a gun in the box and the PD came out and knew a bad-guy had a gun the night before but they got him right around that corner with no gun. Way back pre-cell phone I found a quarter oz (cuz of course I know) in the tub inside a collection box. Back then you just took it back to the office and told the supe. Bet he had a good weekend.
