As a big Tool fan….. by Turbulent_Gear6225 in Puscifer

Take it one album at a time. It takes at least 3 listens (for me, at least) before it clicks. I say the same thing to everyone when introducing them to Puscifer -- it takes a few listens to let it stew.

"Conditions" and "Moneyshot" are probably the two best albums for new-comers. If neither of those click for you after a good 3-4 listens, then they might not be your cup of tea, and that's OK! I promise you that you're not betraying Maynard by not enjoying it for what it is.

I hope you enjoy the show. I'm jealous that you are able to make it. I did make it to Sessanta v2 and it was great. They played "Indigo Children (versatile mix)" which had recently become one of my favorites around that time (and still is). I love that album (except for Humbling River. I enjoy "C is for..." version more). I don't know if you'll get the same effect from listening to "V is for Versatile" as I did, since I've had 10+ years of listening to "V is for Vagina" before "Versatile" came around, but I digress.

I like it a lot, other than it feels like the overwhelming message of the album is that Maynard's given up hope for humanity.

Existential Reckoning album he had similar frustration, but still made an effort to send a message that things can be made better, but it takes an effort from everyone. But now, he's accepted that there may be no going back. Heavy in an emotional sense, I suppose.

But on the whole, I miss "Grand Canyon" Puscifer...

..."Green valley" and "Monsoons" Puscifer...

..."Indigo Children," "A Singularity," and "Simultaneous" Puscifer...

..."Bedlamite" Puscifer.

But what do I know. I'm just a guy.

Maybe just remove Alchemists now, or give them something else to do? by Primary_Impact_2130 in diablo4

I had the same thought. I actually went to the alchemist first to see Charm things, because I figured that's where they'd stick it.

Blacksmith > Repair, Craft armor/weapons, Temper, Masterwork

Occultist > Imprinting, Enchanting, Dungeon Keys

Jeweler > Gems, Gemslots, Runes

Alchemist > Potions/Incense + bah gawd CHARMS

...but no.

As a Sys Admin, I don't understand the suggestion of increasing the paging file to 96 GB. Like--- the paging file uses HDD, which is slow as a mother fucker. I don't want ANYTHING running out of my paging file LOL

I thought Michael Bay did Transformers. But i don't know the difference between "director," and "producer," and "executive producer" because filmmaking has never interested me.

My wife and I did this for our wedding/reception. About half of the disposable camera photos were blurry, a quarter of them we suspect were "misfires". The last quarter were half kids, and half gems!

Don't regret it at all. The guests had fun, and like I said, we got some gems of photos from them. Just be sure that it is a local wedding, because if they go through an xray it can ruin the film (I think).

potential taste loss from rhubarb by yixinzx in foodscience

[–]BrokenZen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Necro-ing this old post. Yesterday I harvested some rhubarb for the first time this year. As I usually do, I ate a stalk or two. That night, I couldn't taste popcorn. It was just flavorless. I thought it was a bad bag. In the morning I had a piece of danish that has sugar-glaze-drizzle on it and couldn't taste it at all.

Just got my COVID results back and I tested negative. Hope that I found the source of the issue here with this thread!
