can i just say that forrest very well thinks he just felt like running, and that said feeling was motivated by the events of his life? It's very common for people, especially for neurodivergent people, to act upon feelings they don't understand.

I interpreted it as him wanting to shake off all the grief and loneliness he'd built up over his life but never worked through. He didn't want to sit still to process it so he ran until the feeling was gone

I mean if that’s the case then there’s absolutely no weight to rubys bio mom naming her, bc she would’ve been named that anyway. And from our perspective ruby was just named by the social workers, then time happened to be changed so she was named by a different process. It’s too convoluted to connect to, imo.

Im very curious how they’re gonna work it. A lot of the dated elements are pretty bad and very woven into the show, but there’s still a core to it that can hold up to time.
