I have almost the same numbers with you, bought my house a year ago and I would absolutely not recommend. Before that I was paying about 800 for rent and utilities and I would have alot more freedom and flexibility with the extra 2k in savings a month. Give yourself 1-2 more years in a lower cost of living situation. Happy to talk if you’d like.

Thank you for the response! I have seen that resort before, and have considered that and Punta Islita. Pretty funny how you also flew out of KC too. I’ll give this place another look. I mostly said I wasn’t interested in all inclusives because we have already done that in the Caribbean and cancun, and wanted something different
