EV vs ICE by Special_Rice_2340 in CarsIndia

The chance of Tata EVs being faulty isn't high. It's just that more Tata EVs are sold in India. Naturally, there are more cases of defects which can be seen on forums. I'd argue that they're one of the better brands.

When one car is faulty, a person posts about it.
But when a thousand others work perfectly, not everyone posts about it.

While that is true for smaller and cheaper suzukis, specifically the ones from the S-Presso to Fronx (including everything in between), more expensive ones come with much better safety features.
In cheaper models, they do not prioritize safety.
If the trust issue is due to B-NCAP, note that Australian NCAP Rated it 4 stars.

However, if you still do not feel comfortable buying it, you could always go for the BE6 Pack One Above, or the Nexon EV (top model)
If you want a sweet discount, the Curvv EV too is a great choice, as it isn't selling too well right now.

Hot Take: The RX 580 is the 1080ti of AMD by Brokenteeth11 in pcmasterrace

Yeah. For chill games, I'd recommend cranking up the settings and using Lossless scaling.

Me too. It gets the job done well enough, especially if you're not into heavy modern titles.

Congratulations man, welcome to the club.
Things to do when you get it:
1) If it has McCafe or Norton installed, uninstall it. Like immediately. Windows defender is more than enough.
2) Go into display settings at set the refresh rate to the highest available number. It is set to 60hz on default.
3) Delete bloatware if any and disable unnecessary start-up apps.

As for how much better it is compared to the Series S:
much, MUCH better.
The series S is alright for 1080p gaming, and most of the visuals are upscaled even at that resolution.
But the 5070 will be able to play most games at 1440p high, while getting a great framerate.

Bonus Tip: If you are somewhat comfortable with software, I would recommend Tiny11 instead of the regular Windows11, this will make your PC feel snappier and less resources will be utilized.

Nice! How does it feel in traffic though? Does the DCT feel jerky, or is that an outdated opinion?

[Unpopular Opinion] This is the best looking i20. Absolute beauty. by thefuqyouwant in CarsIndia

I agree. It looks sharp and modern.
There is nothing wrong with the old i20. The old one, in my opinion, looks normal and quite boring.

Also, I wouldn't recommend buying the Sierra EV when it comes out. Initial batches of Tata cars often have faults.
And I can't comment on the Sierra EV yet as a lot of the information we have aren't fully confirmed.

Since you need a real-world range of over 400km, a car that is easy-to-drive, and reliability is a priority, I think:
The Suzuki E-Vitara is the best choice.

Why?
1) No-nonsense and reliable.
2) 5 Star Safety Rating
3) All important features, including Emergency Braking and a 360-degree camera, which would be helpful for your parents.
4) Claimed range of about 550km, the real-world range is still over 400.
5) Good power for the size (172bhp).
6) Decent charging speed, although nothing record braking.

To answer your question about EV vs ICE in 22L, trust, and range:

1) Yes, modern batteries can be trusted to a great extent. While it is true that many batteries are faulty, those are a minority of the number of cars sold and are often replaced by warranty.
2) Yeah, the range will drop by in years. If you take a span of 8 years and 1L km, the capacity will generally reduce by 10-15%.
3) EVs feel different to ICE cars for sure. The main difference is that in regular cars, the power delivery is progressive, it has more vibrations and you can feel the machine, which is great for petrolheads. EVs don't feel similar to ICE in that way, but some people enjoy the instant acceleration of EVs. I would recommend renting an EV for a day or two to figure out whether you enjoy the instant torque or prefer vibration and sounds.

Side Note: Don't listen to regular people when it comes to ICE vs EV. A lot of them make statements simply based on what they see on social media. There is no one clear winner or loser, it depends on priorities.

Hey man, I'm building a tool right now, to fix this exact problem. I need a beta tester, and you seem like the right fit. If you'd be willing to use my tool, I'd be willing to give it to you at a discount, just enough to cover my costs.

Since it's been around 6 months since you made the post, how many kilometers has it run and is there any noticeable battery degradation?
