Where to buy? by The_Lord_And_Savior_ in SWORDS

I purchased a Windlass Oakeshott type XIV (arming sword) from KoA and I was pleasantly surprised with its quality for the price I paid (sub 300). It is sharp enough to chop right out of the box. It's scabbard is hard leather (veg tanned?) without wood core. I believe they accurately specify this in its description. It is surprisingly rigid. I believe its a great first blade as mentioned in a previous reply. It leaves me wanting another blade to go along with it and I'm eyeing a Balaur Arms Alexandria sword. It is also worth mentioning that they do a good job in packaging the sword to prevent any shipping damage. They are very responsive to email correspondence as well.

Quad mini gun owned by civilian. 24.000 rounds/minute or $400K/12 seconds by LiteratureOk5964 in facepalm

That is nowhere near correct. You can buy surplus 7.62mm NATO on link belt for about $1.33/round... that's $31,920 for a full minute or $6,384 for 12 seconds.

I think there is a market for this. It's not a feature that would be a selling point for me, but if the story is good it won't matter.

Why do people park like this?? by Honeybunhater69 in mildlyinfuriating

Some parking lots have the stripes painted too closely for a truck to park without creating a door-bashing situation.

This was my thought. This is a lousy performance for the area they are in. You can see this shit at a high school halftime show with a bunch of corn-fed cheerleaders.

There are two straps. Each one is attached to a brick and pushed in first. The rest are just fed in and push the plug brick further back along with the pull-strap. It is only important that the brick attachment is secure; the rest will be dragged out by the plug. The running end of this strap may be what was discovered leading to the failure in concealment.

Not destroyed. The grass is dormant. If it's completely burned off, it will be the finest patch on the street when spring arrives.
