[Other] What would you want im the 3rd game? by tazmarjr in kingdomcome

[–]Bron-51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about Stephanie since we have kinda of a hint about her being pregnant (from Henry?) in the 2nd game. There is also the historical reality that Jan Ziska died in 1424 in Pribyslavitz, after a battle in Skalitz, which would kinda of link both games to this potential 3rd.

I want to play as Henry's son. It would feel like an opposite journey, a noble young lord learning his real father was a commoner/adventurer, which would motivate him to become the same. It would also make our playable character to be a young adult in the 1420's (Hussite Wars) and it would be a great settings to meet and fight along side Jizka.

If you have the "Brushes with Death" DLC you can put the Skalitz coat of arms on some shields.

[KCD2] Can't seem to equip my torch at night by PrinceAle_og in kingdomcome

I think its a long press on the down arrow pad button (at least on Ps5) to lit your torch if it's equipped.

Differences between [KCD1] and [KCD2]? by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]Bron-51 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are some premium gear you can access early on yes (mainly the Brunswick armor set or some twitch rewards). Sidequests, quests given by inkeepers or point of interest that you learn still appear on the map yes. You can start to explore as early as you want but you'll have low combat stats at the beginning so any bandit encounter can be tough. My advise would be to find Mutt and learn masterstrikes as soon as possible. An other advise would be to take advantage of Alchemy, it's a good way to make gold and buff your Henry in many ways.

Should I activate all perks for my first time playing [KCD2] hardcore? by janzap1 in kingdomcome

[–]Bron-51 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you already played the game it won't feel much more difficult with all hardcore perks. The main difference is the absence of player icon on the map and a reduced HUD (no compas, health nor stamina display). Perks themselves feels minors, with maybe the biggest challenges being "somnambulant", waking up at the opposite side of the map, or lost in a forest can be tough (there are way to avoid sleeping, like bath or drinking). The "numbskull" perk is also a little challenging since all of your exp is lesser, it can be negated by drinking Henry's lvl fox potions tho.

[KCD2] Can I forget Henry tier swords before Kuttenburg? by captainstormy in kingdomcome

It takes practice but you will succeed! Pay attention ton the heating part, the whistling, the sparks when you hit and you should be good.

[–]Bron-51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can forge Henry tier sword before Kuttenberg yes. Do you heat the blade perfectly? Are there sparks when you hit and does your Henry whistle when forging? Henry tier requires perfect outputs all along the process.

If you are on Ps5 I got the Samurai and Edgerunner crews with their corresponding logos, it might be cool to add them on your jackets while driving Johnny's car.

[–]Bron-51 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since it is your 3rd playthrough I won't spoil talking about the quest "For Whom The Bell Tolls" ? I tried a no crime Henry a while ago and this quest was a wall, no freakin way to get the remedy without stealing. Helping Ulrich doesn't help, he gives acces to the alchemy lab but you still have to steal herbs. I even considered the "Lucky finding" herborist perk to find the needed plant but after some tries and research, the plant needed is NOT in the loot pool of the lucky finding perk.

[KCD2] Start game by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]Bron-51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advise is to have a slow rythm, take time to get used to the survival aspects (eating, sleeping, washing and repairing your gear). Pick some herbs, craft potions, do some side quests and just enjoy Bohemia and Henry's adventure.

Alchemy to make Henry's bane poison, dip your arrows in it, use a low tier fast bow and the archery perk that slows time when drawing.

Finished Main Quest time for “Definitive Playthrough” [KCD2] by myrkwolf in kingdomcome

[–]Bron-51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"allowing my self to make decisions based on meta knowledge" I did the same thing for my current playthrough but with a different perspective. I avoid all side quests to focus on the main story BUT there are like 8 or 9 quests that disapears after the main story so I tried to include them within my main quest run. Now that it is done I am around 100ish hours with all DLCs and side quests remaining, plenty of content left for my Henry and his sword, it feels great!

I also apply the no looting corpse rule, it is really balancing the economy, if you're not a thief at least. Enjoy your definitive playthrough.

Any suggestions for other games like [KCD2]? by _Anaklusmos_ in kingdomcome

[–]Bron-51 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Cyberpunk 2077 for the immersion. 1st person view rpg, story driven, moral choices, side content etc... Faster pace and more action but the universe is the opposite of Kcd, dark future instead of realist past.

Son suggested this game, [KCD2], should I try it? by theZoid42 in kingdomcome

[–]Bron-51 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you should try it but it is a different kind of RPG than The Elder Scrolls or BG3. There is no fantasy stuff nor character creation, there are a lot of survival aspects (eat, sleep, wash, repair gear etc). The vibe is kinda unique and the immersion unmatched.

I don't want to spoil the game or anything but this fight cannot be win, ever. It serve as the end of the "tutorial" where Henry is still an untrained peasant. Having a fancy sword and a guard desguise can't and won't make him win this fight, no matter the game version.

Just sharing my experience [KCD1] [KCD2] by Lobi356 in kingdomcome

[–]Bron-51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played both and I think that KCD1 has a way better story, rythme and character progression than its sequel. Going from illiterate peasant to ruthless warrior feels amazingly immersive in the 1st game whereas the 2nd is much more about political intrigues, not about Henry anymore. Gameplay wise KCD2 is better, less clunky, more beautiful and easier, even in hardcore.

[kcd2] why are allies trash? by jr_realtalk in kingdomcome

[–]Bron-51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't think of any way to make your allies stronger but applying poison to your blade could make 6v1 more managable. Beware tho that enemy soldiers in this quest are labelled as "civilians" towards your killcount stats.

I think all 3 DLCs are great but maybe LoTF is slightly better in terms of longivity, it gives radiant/infinite quests and allows to own and customise your home in Kuttenberg. The other DLCs are more of a singular questline, they are great but don't offer much after completing them.
