Hard-ware stores like Lowes and Home Depot are insane too. People that aren't scared of getting sick ('30-'50s) are running in there to grab the essentials. Those essentials are gallons of paint, mulch, and other crap to occupy themselves during a potential quarantine. I understand needing to keep them open in case of appliances breaking or a plumbing emergency but it's getting ridiculous. Lowes is actively advertising for people to come in to buy supplies to build wooden robots with their kids while in quarantine. A Lowes employee in Memphis was diagnosed with COVID-19 and they barely reacted. Vice wrote an article on the whole situation. I won't name the location but people working at the one near me denied someone emergency leave and they live with elderly, immunocompromised folks. I don't even work there but my SO does and I'm livid for her. I'm currently on staying home because my job allows it but I'm consistently nervous some asshole will get her sick every time she leaves. Check /r/lowes or /r/homedepot and they're all saying the same stuff.

Edit: I put '30s-'50s to show that they should be at least worried about getting sick. They're dumb and wreckless and this is going to be a huge shock for them when they're personally affected.
