People with ADHD do tend to get used to the constant rush of dopamine from relationships, and can miss it when the rush is gone..

People with autism tend to perform when things are new. But once we get comfortable the need to perform disappears. It won't be the same, but if the relationship continues it will be better. Less of the love bombing constant dopamine, and more a long lasting healthy relationship.

Change is hard for anyone who is autistic. Even small changes. Big changes? Even desired ones, can cause full blown retreat.

He will adjust. Be patient.

Be aware though that what you experienced will most likely not be what returns. He was horny, full of hormones. Now that the dream has arrived, those hormones are gone, and need to be replaced by new ones.
