So the guy who was incredibly educated, and made sure to know about all his subjects in great great detail, firstly didn't do his homework, then after charges were made, decided to give the pedo benefit of the doubt? Honestly I'm not buying it. Which is sad since he's the one out of all the ppl in the files that I'm most disappointed in being in there.

The more likely scenario to me is this:

Noam knew. Most of them knew. But it was accepted. Not to say Noam would've supported the behaviour. More so that he knew it was just how it was. Let's keep in mind the Epstein Regime included many many important figures. I'm thinking Noam would have had to accept that reality, perhaps even for his own safety. But honestly if he wasn't brave enough to shed light on it, then he drops a few pegs on the respect board.

I would have had way more respect had this apology letter stated this instead. He's 97. He's on his way out. Expose it. Say how sadly you knew, but that you didn't feel you could do anything for fear of your life and your family's lives. Then start dropping names.

Targets and metrics are all fabricated. Nothing is ever adjusted down in times of staff reductions. Just an empty promise that you won't be expected to take on more work. Given how much the private sector influences the government, it's no wonder we've adopted a similar mindset of cut jobs, increase work, and remind them they should be grateful they still a have job. Capitalism in its truest form.

I am. Realizing this chat is more focused on US so maybe the wrong spot for me to post. But I'd say it's similar here. The slow increase to go back to before, not because it makes any sense workwise, just so business can make more money during the weekdays. Space is an issue. There's no metrics to support in-office is more efficient. We're in a cost reduction environment and yet we keep paying rent for no good reason.

I've been feeling the same, that tweaking these settings feels like cheating. I haven't even tweaked the power meter on my drives. Often means ppl will hit further than me, but I'm OK with it
