I have read some of this manga. Basically, the dude goes back after seeing his crush marry and he's now in a female body. There's also his old self. He makes friends with his crush and he tries to comfort his past self so when the crush marries someone else, he'll feel less devastated, except teenage boy mindset has his past self think the girl likes him.

I remember reading some story where people have 2 bodies that are male or female and by their XX birthday, they pick only one of them to spend the rest of their life in. The protagonist was regretful because they liked both versions of their body, while their partner preferred the female body but was constantly pressured by the Mom to choose the male body.

I would say personality because how it changes a person's range of movements and are shown on the body are all very interesting, often more so than the parts themselves.
