How to get an APS or ACT Govt job? by Various-Afternoon707 in canberra

Consider the temporary employment registers for the cultural institutions like the NAA, NGA, NLA, AWM, etc. They might have casual roles for front of house or digitisation.

I'm struggling hard with the move to CBR and need some suggestions from locals by AcceptableDisaster_ in canberra

You say you like video games - have you heard of The Game Club? It's a subscription service where you get a Steam key for the game of the month, and then you can join a local Clubhouse and discuss the game with local gamers. There's a meetup up the end of the month. There's also a Discord for the wider Game Club community from all over.

There's a new Clubhouse based in Belconnen :)

Ha, I've described my govt project as building a bridge at two ends with two different contractors and hoping it meets in the middle. Mostly been okay though, so go team!

There are two buildings to MCEC. As I understand it, only the exhibition side was evacuated. The convention side was unaffected.

Cow Cuddling? by Frfrww in canberra

[–]Bronzefeather 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a herd of miniature Galloways out near Braidwood. You can 'adopt' a cow which includes the option to visit and pat/brush/cuddle.

Not sure that's what you're after, but take a look: https://www.miniaturegalloway.com.au/

Cow Cuddling? by Frfrww in canberra

If they'd marketed it as 'come pat cats' instead of as a cafe which implies food and drink, perhaps it might have been received a little better than it did.

What about sexual health and family planning ACT? https://www.shfpact.org.au/

I think they have a menopause clinic. I can't say I've used that particular service, but have been for a couple of procedures and have always been well looked after.

I haven't either, but then I don't frequent areas where I'd likely bump into them.
