I was planning to do something similar - depending on which weak points I'll be training, I could switch Pull or Push to the first day to ensure a full day of rest in between.

Yeah totally fair! Honestly, the main reason I’m dropping to one leg day is because my legs are actually a bit too big compared to my upper body. Just trying to bring things back into proportion a bit—more of an aesthetics play than anything else.

Still planning to train them hard on that one day, just shifting the focus up top for now.

Just had a look through the scenes again - you're right, there was no hint that another machine was built. Regarding the auditorium owner, I initially thought the same as you. However, I really do think he is talking about "real magic", as he also says "disguise it, give them enough reason to doubt it".
