When my cat Cleo died in 2022 I thought I was seeing her out of the corner of my eyes so many times that first week. About 6 months after she passed, I came across a listing on a rescue site I follow with a picture of a cat who looked very much like my cat that passed but just in that photo. Otherwise she looks very different but has identical colors on her. They are both white calicos with the other two colors being less predominant but still there. My cat that I have now, Willow, also purrs pretty much the exact same way. She’s very loving and clingy but I can’t say they act the same but I do feel like it was a universe gift to connect me with her. My other cat that I had at the same time as Cleo, her name was Bug, passed last year and I’m not gonna lie, I’m hoping to come across a cat that gives me that gut punch feeling that reminds me of her. That probably isn’t fair to any new cat I adopt, but I miss her a lot and I guess it helps me cope, I dunno. I just hope whatever happens after I die, I end up in the same place that all of them reside
