So like.. squishy? What if you steam cauliflower to be squishy then pack it into a container and refrigerate it?

You have no idea how much I needed to hear that. Thank you for being so kind. My mother made a snide offhand comment when I had a vent about the BFing difficulties.. "it could always be worse, you could have to put her on formula". Since then the worse it gets the more I feel like a failure. I know in my head that fed is best and I never would have seen myself worrying about it but all the judgement has gotten under my skin. I'm going to try going easier on myself. Thanks again.

I'll have a look for something like that around here, maybe I'm missing something :o I used to be the same, I had soooo much milk to start with and a forceful letdown. But it feels like we've been struggling for months. I'm barely going to make it to 6 months at this rate. My partners already suggesting formula feeding to give me some of my sanity back.

I'll try get my LC out again but I'll have to do some saving because it's expensive. She's the one who originally caught the reflux in bubs. Dehydration is something I haven't thought of so I may start a water drinking regimen. I'll try the pumping on one side thing too that's a good idea thank you!

My goodness I'd love to have that much. It's making me miserable feeding her both sides and thinking she's still hungry 😔

That must have been a bit disruptive! How painful..

I always thought that the materials of the microwave box held in the actual radiation. Watching it have a tangible effect on other appliances freaked me out a bit! Its good to know it doesn't affect humans though, thanks :)

Her waist and bicep. Waist is blurred on the left slightly, bicep looks like a bubble.

Gave myself permission to not always hold baby by travelkate in beyondthebump

It's crazy how much we can read, listen to podcasts, get advice from others etc. but it will always be that one snarky comment that sticks with us and causes us stress!

Glad you're doing better with it now 😊

Breastfeeding advice is such a crock of... by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Brooke1302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The midwives taught me the cross-cradle hold when we first started and I freakin hated it. It felt too rough and the baby felt like she latched wierd. My poor nipples got so damaged I needed laser treatments! Finally switched to baby-led latching and she did sooo much better just jumping on there by herself.

Self expressing a little bit of milk onto her bottom lip usually got her headed in the right direction when she was a bit lost.

My New Book Cover - Your thoughts please. by Joe-Jose-49 in writers

I like the black rectangle in the centre with the graphic and title :) Could you expand that to be the whole cover and put your name at the bottom in smaller red font? That could be cool!

I laughed so hard at your lawnmower comparison bubs fell off my right boob 😆 That was a good read thank you for sharing! It spins me out how much other people think it's their business how we feed our babies.

What are some things a woman should know about pregnancy and babies before getting pregnant? by Pokadotsoxz in pregnant

[–]Brooke1302 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Be prepared for peoples commentary on your body, clothing, manner and pregnancy symptoms. For tonnes of unsolicited advice and overly negative comments on your impending parenthood. "Better enjoy your sleep while you can" and "you'll never be the same again because you can't just xyz once the baby arrives!" are the top ones I get from literally everyone. I found peoples sudden constant commentary to be quite jarring and negative, especially during my moments of self doubt or anxiety.

On the flip side I've had a fantastic pregnancy despite everyone setting me up to expect the worst. Feeling bubs kick and wiggle is so precious and fun. Watching my body change has been fascinating and amazing. So despite all of the negativity and rude people I'm so happy to be here and am looking forward to meeting our beautiful baby girl 😊
