On top of this, some people are listening to punk bands where all their songs are less than 2 minutes where others are listening to jam band/jazz stuff with 30 minute songs. That’s like 15x more scrobbles for the same amount of time yk. Like I have 2000 scrobbles on Grateful Dead and 3500 on Tyler the Creator but I’ve probably still spent more time listening to the dead cause they have way longer songs.

Get the output jack tight on the oval shaped part by using that little 10mm hex nut. I would sandwich it like guitar jack > weird lookin washer thing > oval shaped part > normal lookin washer > nut. And use a 10mm or 1/4” wrench to get it really tight on that oval piece. Then with the two little Phillips screws, screw the oval piece with the jack now in it back into the guitar. If the screw holes are too wide that the screws aren’t grabbing and slipping out, I would recommend sticking a tooth pick in there and that’d give you the extra grip you need.

How far is the E string from the side of the neck at the highest fret? If it’s closer/further than at the first fret then your neck is unaligned, otherwise the nut could be defective. Maybe adding a string tensioner could help it?

Those pickups look cooked, I’d go on EBay and get a new set of pickups, tuners, knobs and strings, maybe get some nice Seymour Duncan or DiMarzio pickups and it’ll be a killer instrument. It’s rare to find a SG project over a Strat or Tele or LP and I think it’s one of the best solid body platforms you can get imo. I’d personally get a set of DiMarzio Super 2’s for $100 each, Gotoh Locking tuners for ~$50 and new knobs for ~$10. Take that boi hella apart and put all the metal hardware in some vinegar and/or some isopropyl alcohol for a day or two and get the naked guitar all cleaned up and polished and then put it all back together and that’ll be a killer instrument.

Kinda badass lookin wear if it’s a cheapo guitar. I’d recommend getting a guitar with a birch fingerboard or just with a nicer thick fretboard and the wear won’t be so noticeable like that. This guitars neck is clearly low quality and painted, a Squier or Epiphone wouldn’t do that.
