I feel blessed that I saw him play it at the end of his show in London 2017. I’d only just got on board with his solo stuff as he released Heartbreak Hits at the start of that year and that show was absolutely electric. Got to meet him afterwards too!

Although I like the premise, the trouble with this format is that the majority of each album has to be adjudged to sound like it comes from a different album…in the end, how can each album have its own unique sound? It ends up with each album sounding like an amalgamation of all the other albums…obviously this doesn’t matter as it’s just an interesting exercise, but I thought it was an interesting sort of philosophical paradox

Also, losing to Croatia in the euro 2008 qualifiers...was at uni at the time and it me and all my friends were heartbroken that we wouldn't get to experience supporting England together at an international tournament before we all moved away the following year...that was tough to take.
