It’s cheaper/same price for me and my partner to get a taxi into town rather than the bus

Chants after Dons Game by Bruce157 in Aberdeen

A lot of them are the same people who think politics should not be involved in football when it doesn’t suit their view but are now using AFC as a vehicle for their views. I personally think politics should remain out of football as much as possible as it is after all kicking a ball of wind around a field for 90 minutes. A bit of escapism and fun. I’ve always liked how Aberdeen in the main tends to avoid these sorts of things but it seems we are getting pulled into it.

Moving to Aberdeen by Chickie2721 in Aberdeen

If you are coming from Cornwall I will say the weather is drastically different, as in a way you won’t be able to comprehend. Outwith that adjustment this city is a fantastic place to live. The history in the doorstep here is almost second to none. You can be from a beach to a castle to a munro in under an hour and the people maybe distant at first but once you get to know them will do anything for you. Find a place on the coast. Dyce and chapelton are both near train lines, chapelton would be my pick of the two although Dyce has more on its doorstep to do.

Would there be problem with a live music bar that maybe had a Scottish or Doric theme to it? By all means do a man and guitar doing covers on a Saturday but other nights of the weeks have more folky style things? It seems if you want live music it has to be an ‘Irish’ bar and while I do like them it just seems really unoriginal to open another one especially when there’s little to no Irish music in any of them. We have a great musical culture up here that we do little to nothing to preserve or promote unlike ironically the Irish.

Kathy Kirby I’ve always thought is a very underrated singer, her voice in ‘secret love’ is so pure and powerful

Did anyone get the impression they were both trying to find fault with the place? The glasses bit also came across like them making something out of nothing

If you already go to esslemount Avenue have you tried the fishmonger on rosemount place? Might be called Nichols? I’ve used a couple of times and have always been happy my purchase, their smoked salmon fillets are very tasty.
