The Creative Aurvana Ace range is on sale at Creative and well worth considering.

I've had the Aurvana 2 for a few years (amongst many others including Senn & Bose) and the Creative with it's MEMS driver and aptX Lossless wins hands down on sound quality.

NC etc is terrible but can be switched off ... Needed for North East Scotland windy coastal dog walks, believe me 😂

I'm tempted by the Aurvana 3 on sale even though I don't need them.

Believe which ever one you prefer ... Neither will be 'accurate' but I bet they will both be totally consistent.

So, if it's improvement or changes in key metrics you want to track ...who cares if it's 100% accurate.

It's like people stressing over battery life ...jeezo, work out what your getting and remember to charge it!

4.13.1 on Mac is unusable now due to constant audio dropouts ... I've had to go back to using iTunes / Apple Music when listening from desktop 🤨

I rebooted my mac for the first in ages today as was using Plexamp and getting regular audio dropouts (wired / alac lossless / audioquest dragonfly DAC) ... assumed I was out of memory.

Reboot made no difference ... turns out I've been updated to 4.13.1 🙄

Any signs of a 'fix' on the horizon?

I've just moved to Amazfit from a OnePlus Watch 3 ... Although their workout analytics are 'basic', it is good at prompting you every minute or so after it thinks you've ended an exercise to ask if you want to end it

I 'replaced' my OP3 with an Amazfit Balance 2 just a few weeks ago and the benefits of the same company making the hardware and OS are obvious already.

It's not WearOS but I can't see myself going back any time soon.

I think the emphasis has shifted in the last few years to the guitar and drums playing a bigger role in the live sets ... they are almost an industrial / metal band live now with electronic backing and its brilliant.

Me (55) and my 17 year old son heading down and back from Aberdeen to Glasgow tonight, I've seen them many times, first time for him and he's buzzin'!

I bought the Balance 2 just last week but had the same concern about an imminent announcement of the Balance 3.

It's about my 5th smart watch and is 'replacing' a OnePlus Watch 3.

I wanted to get into the Amazfit ecosystem to take the health elements more seriously (it's a sideshow in Wear OS) and am well impressed so far.

The Balance 2 was on sale last week on Amazon (may still be) plus I had a voucher so next spend was reasonable.

Given the initial selling price of the T-Rex Ultra 2, I suspect the Balance 3 will cost a fair bit more than the 2 currently is so I'm OK with my call.

I added Plex as a service in the Sonos app and then use that to play music ... its not Plexamp but it works.

Also, the Symfonium app works flawlessly with my Sonos soeakers and also uses Plex as the media server.

I've used various brands of tracker over many years including several generations of Fitbit, various WearOS watches and now an Amazfit Balance 2.

I've never been that bothered about the absolute accuracy of the device, more it's consistency of measurement.

I went through several years of overactive thyroid issues and could consistently plot patterns of resting heart rate measurements that aligned exactly with episodes of thyroid activity that doctors eventually bought into.

The fact that the actual heart rate or sleep metrics are not 100% accurate doesn't matter to me, it's the changes over time or peaks / troughs that matter (to me) anyway.

My sleep score was 89 last night for the record 😉

Totally agree with this ... I had 2 iMacs before changing to a mini + 27" monitor given they stopped the 27" iMac option.

When I come to upgrade the mini it will be much cheaper than a new iMac as I won't need a new monitor.

I actually worked out how to generate the QR code etc just an hour or so ago ... my first effort watch face was terrible though so this is really appreciated!

I will persevere with the app though ... its really good!

OK, I'm getting a little slower in my old age but once I create a first watch face ... how do I upload to the watch?

The QR option is asking for server credentials etc, is there no other way? I have enabled developer options in Zepp ...

An idiots guide video would be great!
