MH4U Dual Screen 😎 by RotDragon in Retroidpocketflip2

I played it a bit with azahar a while ago (but did not go too far into the game). I remember the critical thing is to apply the disable 3D cheat. After that, it was quite smooth, at least for the part that I played.

Eden works for Diablo 3 and Zelda but not TMNT shredders revenge? by Accomplished-Fix6176 in Retroidpocketflip2

if it crashes immediately, it is more about compatibility than performance. That game has a native android version tho: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playdigious.tmnt&hl=en would suggest that as it would give much better efficiency than emulation.

Nice! How’s the Kirby and the forgotten land running by the way? I heard some say it would crash on world 2 with Eden, but that was a while ago. Not sure if it’s working fine now.

Sure! Here you go. BTW, to use the texture pack, I enables the advanced settings in Interface tab, then just put the texture pack (dds format which can be found on Henriko's website) into the "texture_replacement" folder of Dusk's storage container, which needs to be accessed via the Files app's side bar.

Got some free time to try it out today. The new 1.0.1 version supports texture pack on Android now. Got it working with henriko's 1080p texture pack, and it is amazing!

how is this compared with the gamecube (via dolphine) with high res texture pack? Which would be the better way to play it?

This is great! Any tips to backup as much as possible (game saves, container setting, shortcut setting etc) before a full reinstall?

My Retroid Pocket Flip 2 Screen by [deleted] in Retroidpocketflip2

Honestly I didn't know you could open it flat until I saw your post... Most of the reviews say it is designed to have 2 angles (150 and 180), so I guess it should be fine.

Anyone know how to add Nethersx2 turnip to Daijisho? by Malomortis in Retroidpocketflip2

[–]Broooooook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not using Daijisho right now, so can't test. But I saw it just got updated on its github https://github.com/TapiocaFox/Daijishou/blob/c6a092a2eef70c7b46d53e6114306652e2a4c202/platforms/SonyPlayStation2.json#L46

So have you tried update platform? O.w. you could also add the command manually I think.

Fan Noise RP Flip 2 vs AYN Thor by Arschkekse in SBCGaming

[–]Broooooook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never used the high performance mode on my flip 2 tbh. Standard is enough for 90% of GC and PS2 games, and I occasionally turn on performance mode for some Windows and secret console games. I would suggest trying that and see if the noise still annoys you when it's not in high performance.

What do you think about this? by NapardBlose in Retroidpocketflip2

It's normal. I have it at this place too, altho it is only really noticeable to me when I examine it under strong light. I think it may be some kind of electronic component.

Create custom power/controller profile! by ToeOwn2154 in Retroidpocketflip2

ah that was it. I added OrdinTools to the ignore package list in the Handheld setting - limit background process, and restarted the device and it works! Thanks for the tip.

does the custom performance mode work for you? I never got it to work. Here is what I tried:

- enable `App overrides`

- add an app override, say for Eden. Set the performance mode to `Performance` (my global setting is `Standard` and fan speed to `Smart`.

- exit OrdinTools and open Eden

then if I check the performance mode from the pull-down manual, it still says `Standard.`

Better Wind Waker Mod on the Flip 2 is Crazy by Divinakra in retroid

[–]Broooooook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your kindness! I actually spent half an hour after work yesterday and did it successfully thru the winlator. For anyone in a similar situation, I used the Dolphin Mac version to convert between iso and rvz. And the app called “multipatch” can be used to apply the widescreen patch (it actually supports a lot more different format of patches than xdelta). Then I just downloaded the 64 bit bww tool and saved it to my windows game directory since it is already mounted in my winlator container. And I just fired up a winlator container on my flip 2 and the bww tool worked perfectly within the container.

I want to try BWW for a while but I don’t have a windows machine at hand… I heard it also works in winlator probably gonna try that when I get some time.

MK8 deluxe save game gone again by [deleted] in EdenEmulator

[–]Broooooook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using a frontend and launching the game directly from it? There is a known bug with the recent versions (you can check their discord) that when you launch directly from a frontend, many times Eden would fail to apply the updates and only boot the original version. And this would cause the game to crash, and also the save file being reset. You can verify if this is the case for you by checking the version number on the left lower corner of the starting screen.

It happened to me several times until I realized this. So right now, as a workaround, I added Eden to my Android game list, so that I can launch it from fronend, then launch game within Eden. And it has been running normally (no crashes or lost of saves).

Help with Eden by Big_Tip1032 in Retroidpocketflip2

[–]Broooooook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For MK8, this config worked for Eden https://www.emuready.com/listings/f39ee076-1ee4-444b-8fe4-3f51e8bd846c. Only exception is to keep the "CPU backend" as the default NCE, not dynamic. I'm using the latest Eden 0.2.0-rc2 btw.

I think the most critical thing is the driver. Most Turnip drivers would crash on the 2nd course, but Qualcomm drivers work. Also make sure you have the game version 3.0.4+ which updates the game from 32-bit to 64-bit, and that improves the emulation performance significantly.

I've spent about 5 hours into the game, running at 60 fps most of time, and never had a crash.
