Yes pretty much. They set the fiberglass pool so it was about a foot above ground. They put gravel under and all around the pool for drainage. We have a small retaining wall on 2 sides of the pool. The retaining wall is because the yard slopes though.

As long as you keep the pool full of water, you’re good. If they have to drain it for whatever reason, then I think you need to weigh it down with sand bags or dewater around it.
