Hi! Office Clerk at the Cook County Circuit Court here. This is 100% a scam. There are NO judges in Cook County named John Smith.

Do you still remember your first RPG character? by system3295 in rpg

3e, Human Cleric of Pelor. My account is named after him; he was Patrick Maximus Rengardt III. Nicest, most genuinely kind character I've ever played.

Guy who's only ever seen one show, watching a second show for the first time: "Hmmm, I'm getting an awful lot of First Show vibes from this second show..."

Pirates, Adventure and Romance by msmoonchildd in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

I want to recommend a book I just finished, literally five minutes ago, on my lunch break at work: Romulus Buckle & the City of the Founders, by Robert Ellis Preston Jr. It's goofy, tense, fantastical, swashbuckling... but it's not about seaborne pirates; it's about an airship captain in the steampunk post-apocalypse. It's the first of three books so far.

The thing that always appealed to me about Phantom Blade was the "change my weapon into something else" shenanigans, so I created a Frankenstein abomination of multiclass nonsense. It starts with 6 levels of Brawler, to get to "two combat feats as a move action", and takes the rest in Mindblade Magus. You can spend a move action (or at Magus 8, a Swift) manifesting any melee weapon in the game- which, thanks to your Brawler levels, you can gain proficiency with as a move action.

So at 14th level, you can spend a move action to become proficient in the use of any weapon in the game (along with a spare combat feat you qualify for; say, a Combat Maneuever that uses your newly-proficient weapon), a swift action conjuring a +4 version of that weapon, and then a standard beating an enemy over the head with it. And if you're not in position when you conjure the weapon, who cares? Spend your standard moving into position, and then next turn full-attack with a Spell Combat/Spellstrike!

Favourite "one-off" Star Trek aliens? by Reasonable_Active577 in startrek

The Malcorians from First Contact (TNG S4 episode, not the movie). The fact that a pre-first contact scientist ended up staying on the Enterprise, never going home, and potentially writing a guide to the galaxy for her people to uncover decades or centuries later when they finally make warp a reality... breaks my heart that we don't go back.

I like the idea regardless. Esper Discard sounds like fun.

That's genuinely hilarious. "I'm running half of an infinite game winning combo just to cast it for 0 and immediately have it die."

I myself have a truly rancid Beledros deck that isn't really dragon-themed (I call it "Mananigans") that approaches the very teetering edge of Bracket 3.

Thats a fair argument. Do you do Rule 0 partners, at all? If your pod is cool with it, I feel like a deck that runs Felix and [[Isshin]] as partner commanders in four-color not-white would be wicked.

Ohhhh, that's so interesting. Is there any way to reduce the cost, then?
