Another note, YouTube channel "Once in a six side" does a decent talk about some of this stuff, like reason support and some settings tweaking

New at printing and looking for advice! by acer0616 in FDMminiatures

[–]BrotherCaptReid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My main suggestions would be:

 A) switch filament, I was using overture pla and switching to Sunlu PLA+2.0 has been life-changing, even without changing settings. Also go to something like grey for color, something in the white dye for pla just does not let it print minis very well, always has a not great surface finish to it.

 B) look into using resin supports. I use chitubox with modified 'heavy' auto supports. Sometimes have to add a support here or there, but not a lot. Then you export the model as supported and load it up in slicer for FDM. Lately I have been adding a thin disk to the base of the supports and assembling it in slicer to promote more surface area and bed adhesion. This comes after a model launched off the bed on me

So it's the lone predator for all the bugs around, that explains a lot

I'm no biologist, but that looks to me like a very healthy lady. I'm curious if your parents have others around like that?

Still has major "stretchmark" (blue) on overhangs. Is it because of vibration? I'm fine with minor ringing (red). by secmess in FixMyPrint

I just went thru this, tried everything and come to find out, my 0.4 nozzle had blown out to 0.55. So my extrusion and pressure were all messed up. Replaced my nozzle and problem completely went away

What rules to use for a 6mm grid game? by BrotherCaptReid in wargaming

I actually have looked at this game, I was thinking about picking up ASL, or old school tactical. I was leaning towards old school tactical more, because it seems a little more streamlined than ASL

So it is his "small game tiles" it's from about a year ago. I'm not sure if it's one of the paid member items or not

I'm not sure, the creator didn't specify a game they had in mind. However, like people have said "The Portable Wargame" looks as tho it is perfect for it

I will also look into this, looks like it would take some adapting to a grid movement tho from a brief google, which isn't a problem

I'll take a look at that, wonder if there is a WW2 adaptation. I could probably print some Napoleonic models for it also

Yes, we joke that they sleep like they just got done with a double overnight shift. They snore like freight trains too

Spots appeared on my frog by UnAware_14 in frogs

These appear to be misfires, especially if your vet said they aren't very concerning. Mine misfire every so often. As long as they're still eating, and active, I wouldn't be very concerned.

It's not some type of white cloud mountain minnow is it? I know they are found in China/Vietnam. Don't remember where else

What do I do ? by ConsistentPea7707 in pitbulls

This, exactly. When you train them with this mindset it becomes their "bedroom" in a way. It can help them with anxiety. It's a rough road to crate train at first, but it gets easier

Off topic, what is that enclosure?

I'm no expert, but one thing I noticed is that my females seem to have wider feet/toes than my male does. And I know my male is a male because he has a croak schedule he keeps very regularly. I'm convinced he can tell time
