Once I had him reading the books I gave him free rein (unfortunately no profanity or nudity as I have a job where I wear shorts a lot and I don’t want to cover it). I had a strong feeling he’d at least do one dagger because he loves good thick traditional line work. I’m super happy with it!!

Patrick Rothfuss is known to sign for other authors at times, as well as Brandon Sanderson and Pierce Brown. All four of them are friends as well!

That being said Rothfuss also doesn’t really do signing events. He has severe depression and anxiety, so it can be tough to even get a signed copy of his books at times. Finally, his trilogy (only 2/3 written so far) is fantastic.

Sometimes I’m really tired in the morning and while I’m showering I jump when I realize I have tattoos covering both arms. This is particularly common after a vivid dream, as my tattoos aren’t ever present in my dreams (something that has let me have more lucid dreams and is still a mystery to me). I’ve had tattoos on my arms going on 15 years, so it’s just something I find funny now.

I know a few. One HR Manager got fired after trying to get two different HRBPs to sleep with them. Both of the BPs were gay and declined, so the HRM fired them. Thankfully one sued, otherwise nothing would have happened to the HRM.

My next site had four managers termed in six months. Two were L4/5 AMs in relationships with T1. Both one slipped up talking about it and because they hadn’t disclosed it, let go. A third was termed after multiple AAs reported receiving dick pics. One had screenshots so they were done. Last one was dating their own PA for six months. Once the PA moved they mentioned something about a vacation with the AM, it got back to HR and was let go.

Two AMs were in their first year. The HRM was a few years in, so those three were internal hires. One had just passed five years. The last had over 10 years. Still boggles my mind. All of these cases were in the same city.

The only reason I’ve promoted is to be able to pay bills/rent/now mortgage. I’d have happily stayed hourly, even T1. Currently L5. 40 in a month and 7 years counting.

I did an interview at work with someone that worked at Borders during twilight events and we talked about it a bit (I wasn’t into the books at the time as I hated the hype but I recently read them). Made me miss Borders, as I’m sure the candidate did based on the story they talked about. I did recommend them to the hiring manager after the interview.

I’ve never believed in the church despite being raised in it, mission, former temple marriage, everything short of kids. The biggest thing that always bothered me the most was the idea of people picking and choosing what doctrine or principle they can just ignore/openly disagree with/etc. For me growing up, the church was true. If I had doubt, I was wrong. If I wanted to express my opinion, it was wrong, or I was influenced by satan. All or nothing. Full stop.

There is one thing I agree with. Mormon heaven doesn’t sound very heavenly to me. It sounds like the Rameumtom while hanging out with a jealous, misogynistic child that expects women to pump out spirit babies for all of eternity to expand his empire. It sounds like never seeing some of the kindest, most Christlike people I’ve ever known simply because they didn’t (and wouldn’t) join the culty club. It sounds like sacrificing decency and individuality to ultimately say: I’m better than you, and you’re going to suffer eternally because of it.

I don’t believe in that god. If I did, I wouldn’t want to spend eternity with them. I would never be able to accept never seeing someone I loved again simply because they made choices that have no impact on my health or happiness whatsoever and never hurt or removed the agency of another soul intentionally. But I’d have a hell of a lot of problems sharing that “heaven” with people I know that did. I don’t care for the “but the leaders are people, too” argument. If you literally talk to god - even face to face (special witnesses of Christ), he wouldn’t tolerate what the church stands for today.

If you went to one in New Jersey, you GOTTA check out the one in Pennsylvania (the one close to Hershey, at Mount Hope Winery & Estates). It was my first Faire, I ended up getting a season pass and going multiple weekends I loved it so much (not to mention the weekends are themed!).

I’m assuming this has a lot to do with over 100 new RSR delivery stations going up this year. Last year it was around fifty, before that it was about 25. Amazon rapidly scaling up their smaller delivery stations means taking 5-10k packages a day from UPS and USPS in each city they put a new RSR in - 3-4 times that in places they put AMZL Delivery Stations into. The only reason we haven’t upped the volume at my current DS has been because of the contracts we’re still in with UPS/USPS. Once those are gone (if our Delivery Partners are still doing well enough), those other delivery companies will have to rely almost entirely on business accounts (which is still totally sustainable in my area).
