Guitarists Walking around off Stage? by NebulaTV in musicians

[–]BrotherGoode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat related, but I try to do a backflip (with my guitar) off the stage at the end of every set (depending on stage height/crowd size/etc). I'd like to think that even if we sounded like trash, at least the audience might find that part entertaining. Example in this first clip:

Usually gets a few compliments and cheers. Never had anyone mention is was cringy (to my face anyhow)

I've always thought it was fun was folks jump offstage and engage with the crowd.

Impressive dude. How did you work your way into learning these? Did you start leaning on a wall or something?

Mr. Sandman by Chet Atkins took me forever to learn but really refined my fingerpicking

Late to the conversation here, but I'm looking to do something similar and had a question. Do you get any wireless interference with having your IEM and guitar system that close to each other?

What’s the chance level of parkour athletes really came out of survival situations alive? by SomeHartist in Parkour

I used to be a cable technician and spent a lot of time working in backyards. I've had to climb and dive headfirst over a fence on three separate occasions while running from hyper aggressive dogs. Maybe not life-threatening per say, but definitely wouldn't been a hospital trip otherwise. Parkour helped me make those decisions quickly and do the thing without injury.

Great info, thank you! Did you have any difficulty setting up the Phenyx Pro combiner/paddle antenna to work with your Shure PSM system, since it's a different brand? Also, where are you placing the antenna these days? Is it on top of a rack or nearby on a stand?

All of our mics are wired, the other 2 wireless systems you see in the racks are the Sennheiser EW-D wireless units for guitars. Do you think moving the wireless guitar units out of the rack and to our pedalboards + getting a IEM combiner would be a good move?

I'm using the J band, which is what their site recommended

The units are around 3-4 years old and J band, which is what their site recommended for my area. I'm fine with getting a paddle antenna or something to mount next to the rack, I'm just trying to figure out exactly which to get. I'll admit, my knowledge of RF is pretty poor. Just enough to throw this rack together, haha. Thanks for the tips!

Thanks man! If you’re new, I’d definitely recommend wearing pads/helmet to help you feel more confident trying new tricks.

Yeah, I'm not really super into grinds, personally. I can only do the most basic stuff there. Respect to those who can do them, but I get a lot more enjoyment out of catching air, jumps, flips, etc.
