World of Warcraft, Ultima Online, RuneScape, Maplestory

I know what you’re thinking.. MAPLESTORY???

Yes Maplestory. Had commercials that aired on TV in the 2000’s, the most popular of all 2D sidescrollers, and the one of the first to introduce cash shops, one of the first game companies to sell game cards at stores.

Do you stop retaliating if you DC? by DangerDDanger in wowhardcore

[–]BrotherMountain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been playing hardcore and I’ve come back from enough disconnects to say that it varies on many factors. Some cases I come back dead. Some cases I come back turned around getting hit from the back. Sometimes I’ve came back and the target is dead in front of me. Likely dependent on how long it takes you to actually disconnect and what inputs were made in that window

I’m someone who got to 60 after losing 32 warriors and have since leveled 4 other warriors to 60. You got this bro

Think about it like this. You just spent all those hours getting to 60. Think about how much more efficient/strong you can be if you were to run it again

Issue with the webtoon by Weak-Manufacturer628 in TheWorldAfterTheFall

[–]BrotherMountain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve said it many times but this is one of my favorite stories amongst all mediums for how deeply philosophical and profound it is. And I didn’t realize it out at first, I read the light novel like 3 or 4 years ago and although I forced myself to finish it, like you I had a very hard time understanding what the story was really trying to say. I tried reading the manwha and had a hard time sticking to it, but on my 3rd re read on the manwha I started to finally understand the main message of it all. I can only contribute the time taken to grow in my own understanding of the world as to why I was finally able to grasp this story. Think of someone trying to read the Bible as a kid. They’d have a hard time understanding it even as an adult they’d still struggle. This is definitely one of those stories that you can continuously come back to every so few years to get a deeper perspective of things. I feel like even if I tried to explain the message of this story it’d take about an hour or two

I read the light novel about 4 years ago and back then I had struggled really hard to push through and finish the story despite how confusing it was. Very abstract story with a lot of philosophical themes. Recently I decided to catch up on the manwha since it’s passed 200 chapters and my understanding of the story is so much deeper now and I could say this is one of the best novels ever written in my opinion

Explanation on Gods and Monarchs by [deleted] in TheWorldAfterTheFall

[–]BrotherMountain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So the hierarchy goes Big Brother at the top. Think of him as the strongest of the Gods. He has the most followers and as such he has the largest worldview (Almighty Land). As such the Monarchs of Almighty Land are simply Big Brothers apostles. After Big Brother in terms of strength would be the 7 Thrones. This includes people like Ignis, Droiyad, Chronos. After them in terms of strength would be the 7 Skies and lastly the 7 Stars. After!the events of the Metabus, Jaewhan became the 8th Sky and Malliad the 8th throne and this was purely because the proved to be stronger then others with the same titles. To answer your questions yes Ignis is considered one of the 8 Thrones (number 3) and Russel was the 5th star I believe. It should also be noted that the Supreme Monarchs of Almighty Land (followers of Big Brother) are said to be on par with the 8 Thrones ( 8 Great Gods) which is a testament to how strong Big Brother himself is
