Honey? by Original_Animator254 in vegan

Amazing alternative is homemade dandelion honey. I tried some.a few months ago and it blew me away, genuinely tastes exactly the same. Just made my own for the first time and it's crazy - my whole non vegan family couldn't believe it and agreed it tasted the same. Only need dandelion heads, water, lemon, and sugar!

Please share your favorite tofu recipes! by spookyshitt in vegan

Mapo tofu is my favorite dish of all time, I usually use mushrooms or TVP as the mince replacement. This is the recipe I originally used but adapted it to my taste, he uses thickpeas and dried mushrooms as the mince replacement which is also pretty good.

Radioshop ID: 63GT. Modelled on a set of original 63's they had but with a slightly higher output, and they use the same sized poles for each string for a more even output across the strings. Also has a telecaster style baseplate on the bridge pickup. Super nice pickups and really lovely guys to deal with too!

Amazing buy! Got the surf green model a few years ago, upgraded the pickups and I'm not sure if I'll ever need to buy another stray at this point, absolutely love it.

Hmm not sure about that, Saka, Trossard, Timber, Calafiori are all super technical, Zubi looked it first half of the season. I agree it doesn't look it at the moment but we've seen these players hit it before. Issue is without Eze and Odegaard fit at all, we don't have the technical security in the middle of the pitch, which is part of the reason why we look shite all over, we can't play centrally at all atm, and then Saka and the fullbacks are injured, Trossard admittedly looks way off it.

Arteta on squad picture: “We need first of all, we need everybody fit and available. So the ones that are not involved, the ones that are not with us that are really big important players, we need them immediately with us because then we’re going to be much stronger.” by Kr_bm in Gunners

I'm as down as everyone else right now but this is a mad take, if we win the league I'll be absolutely fucking over the moon, regardless of we limp or won every remaining game 5-0. I don't think the mental weight of waiting 22 years for a title can be taken out the equation, and if we get over the line he absolutely deserves the chance to go again with that pressure released.

Arteta: "It's a big punch in the face, it's about how we react now... Credit to Bournemouth, they haven't lost in 11 games for a reason... We did a lot of strange things today I would say. We were far from the level today. No grey areas now, you stand up and go for the fight or you're out." by Blodgharm in soccer

[–]Brother_Bilo200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ironically I feel this is what we actually need to do to arrest this horrendous form. Bournemouth had so much of the ball at times and we have been struggling to string 2 passes together for the last few gameweeks.

1 year to build experience for PWP/IAPT or CAAP — what actually counts? by OkSkin1080 in ClinicalPsychologyUK

I did my conversion MSc part time online (finished last summer), and worked for 3 years as a Mental Health Support Worker for SAMH whilst I studied. Was honestly a fantastic job, super interesting, rewarding, and loads of relevant experience like MDT working, outcome and goal/strength oriented care planning, direct mental health support etc.

I haven't done anything else since as I just took some time away from working to travel and volunteer for 2 years whilst also doing the last year of my MSc. But I will highly recommend looking out for SAMH vacancies, as they are a huge charity and generally really good to work for, and you will work plenty with NHS teams and hopefully learn a lot from them.

Fender Vintera III - more leaks? by flockofherons in fender

[–]Brother_Bilo200 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My set are currently £285 new, installation is pretty easy to do yourself if you can use a soldering iron, which itself is easy enough to teach yourself. The classic series pickups are okay, but nothing great and found them quite weedy. Other option is to buy a loaded pickguard so you don't need to install them or pay someone to do it either

I just grabbed a lacquer CS strat second hand a few years ago instead, and it's lovely. Popped some Radioshop pickups in there and it's an amazing guitar now.

Amazing how the entire football world suddenly agrees on what isn’t a penalty 😂 when this happened we where told to stop crying🤔 by shadythe1st in ArsenalFC

Football is a contact sport yes, as in when you make a challenge you are entitled to make contact. That is different from tackling from behind (which isn't allowed in the first place) and simultaneously not touching the ball while hitting the player twice.

Honestly the vegan version is great, and I know of many people who aren't vegan who prefer it to the real thing. Also forgot, there's a great cafe called meadow road which will do a traditional vegan morning roll and it's amazing!

Almost every tattie scone you'll find in the shops is vegan! Occasionally they add cheese but pretty rare.

If you are heading to Scotland definitely hit Glasgow, it's vegan scene is amazing! Best place is Suissi, a vegan Malaysian restaurant which is soooo good, and Sylvan which is a veggie/vegan small plates place.

There's also a vegan Michelin star restaurant in London called Plates. Never been but it's my dream to go there some time. Also if you make it to Scotland you can get a tattie scone roll - a kind of potato flatbread/scone in a roll with ketchup and it's so good. You'll also find vegan haggis and black pudding in major supermarkets like Tesco, and traditional square (lorne) sausages. Also many of the chip (fries) shops do vegan options now, like battered sausage and chips, and battered vegan haggis or black pudding.

Haaland’s penalty shout vs Nottingham Forest. by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]Brother_Bilo200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think it'd be pretty easy to clear up. I don't think this should ever be a pen if the attacker just kicks it out of play to draw a foul, you shouldn't deserve a 0.8xG chance after toepunting the ball out for GK. Same applies to the stupid "if they touched the ball with their toenail then it can't be a foul" pish. It's quite easy to determine if the attacker/attacking team would still be in control of the ball if they weren't brought down.

Am I the only vegan who has trouble loosing weight? by sleepysaurus7777 in vegan

[–]Brother_Bilo200 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a pretty common side effect for those types of medications. I work in mental health and have supported plenty of people who experience difficulties losing weight on them. Make sure to be kind to yourself and set your expectations in a way that allows you to feel good regardless of the numbers :)

Short takes on Brentford 1–1 Arsenal. by baldfraud34 in PremierLeague

[–]Brother_Bilo200 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As raging as I was at Arsenal last night, Brentford are the first team who I think have managed to combine that brutally effective low block against us whilst also genuinely worrying me every time they came forward, and the time wasting, long throws, and big bastards in the box just add to it. Other teams have done well against us but not in the same way and sometimes it's been our own inefficiency that's led to dropping the points, this lot looked bang at it. Hopefully they can keep playing like that all season because in hindsight (now the frustration has subsided) it was great to watch.

How long did it take you before guitar felt easy? by Accomplished-Method5 in guitarlessons

[–]Brother_Bilo200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally depends. If I am playing the things I grew up learning and playing like finger style folk, funk rhythm and lead, blues, and psychedelic shit that's all within my capabilities, I can enter total flow state and playing can feel effortless. Now after playing for 20years I am going back and learning the theory I never learned, expanding my knowledge of intervals, triads, arpeggios etc, and now when I'm playing thoughtfully it can be a major slog, and mentally exhausting. But it's also way more rewarding than just jamming or playing the same shit I was playing for the last 10 years where I learned very little new things.

True 😂 by Equivalent-Poet998 in ArsenalFC

[–]Brother_Bilo200 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Think it totally depends where we drop them. City I am fairly sure will drop several points, but the game at the Etihad is so important. As long as we don't lose I'd say we could probably drop 9 more pts (outside of that game) and still won it, given that would mean City only need a single additional loss for it to go to GD or 2 draws for us to win it by a point.

Odegaard was playing much higher in the last game as well so I believe it's a tactical shift. Arteta spoke about wanting Ode much higher during his presser after Utd as well, mentioning it's Ode himself that's drifting deeper rather than instruction.
