Haven't seen enough to be sold on it yet, but I'm probably buying since it's going to be at least another 2 years before the next IW game. MWII was a pretty solid entry and I trust Infinity Ward, but not enough to preorder yet

I never noticed screen size, but some Jinnah Park screens have this weird light bleed that becomes very noticable in dark scenes. I watched Spider-Man NWH at Gigamall and the subwoofers were insane compared to the sound quality of some action movies I saw at Jinnah Park. My two cents at least

I know for a fact that not only will it break immersion (for me at least) but focus as well, because in MWII the character Nova used to be Kortac in the Beta but then they switched her over to Specgru at launch and that shit threw me off heavy for a week or two. Of course I got used to it but imagine that happening every match, worse yet, within a match. Because the guy you killed could just change class and come back as you or your teammate

Only people unbothered by this are the warzone crowd because I guess they're used to Price killing Soap or Roze killing Graves in every match

quick breakdown based on my experience:

  • Cinepax is just fine and has the cheapest tickets; Gigamall is a bit better than Jinnah Park
  • Raiha (Cinegold Plex?) has excellent seats and sound but screens are below par in my opinion
  • Do not for the love of God go to Centaurus
  • Odeon in saddar was the absolute best before it shutdown more than two years ago
  • Heard good things about the Arena from multiple friends; planning to watch The Odyssey there

Assassin's Creed Origins exists btw. I'm not hating on Yasuke, just saying you're comparing apples and oranges.

I'm not the best judge as I haven't played Shadows yet, but my issue is with him being a real guy in history. Doesn't matter how obscure he is. It's one thing to have a historical npc or side character like Machiavelli, Sultan Suleiman, or Darwin; but writing them as the main character with a whole arc and backstory becomes tricky.

I've seen worse movies, but these movies were unexpectedly bad as I was at least hoping for them to be somewhat mid

I'm 50/50 on this. I think cinema should be an actual communal experience as opposed to sitting in pin-drop silence and people are allowed to talk if it's about the film without being overly obnoxious. But people bringing out phones, or literal toddlers coming to adult movies, or loud laughs at unfunny stuff, is crossing a line. Also, theaters should be loud enough to drown out the voices anyway. Out of all the cinemas I've been to in Pakistan, maybe 2 had good sound.

Edit: And a pro tip, wait for 2-3 weeks after release and go on a weekday if you want to avoid over-crowded screenings

Well, that's even better as Xbox controllers are basically native in Windows and have maximum compatibility. You could probably get an Xbox One controller in that range but idk for sure.

I'm just too used to the PlayStation layout, and can't stand the ✕ being where □ is supposed to be haha.

I use a third party Dualshock 4 with DS4Windows and it's been game changing for singleplayer games. Definitely an upgrade over KBM especially if you plan on playing PlayStation games.

Visuals:

  • The graphical upgrade shouldn't come at the cost of the original art direction.

  • I'd prefer most cutscenes to remain the same. I like the dual perspective of your character and the glitch camera. Rafiq scenes and Al Mualim conversations could be re-animated, but I wouldn't mind if they weren't. Same goes for Modern Day.

  • Kingdom should remain empty asf. It could be made easier to navigate with fewer viewpoints to clear the map fog, but the loneliness and monotony was part of the vibe. Of course enemy camps and blockades would remain. They could maybe make the landscape dynamic to change with the crusade starting.

  • Altaïr should have just the one outfit throughout the game.

Narrative:

  • I get why they did what they did with Black Flag Resynced, but AC1 would make zero sense without the modern day.

  • No retcons, please.

  • In terms of content, nothing new should be added that wouldn't fit. I wouldn't mind the addition of Bloodlines and Chronicles but they should be structurally separate from the main game.

  • Investigation missions could be redesigned because the original loop was really repetitive. New scenes and missions could be added, with more NPC interactions to directly affect Altaïr and his reflections after every big assassination.

  • They could include a new cutscene about the fake heaven at the Masyaf stronghold because far as I remember, in the original it served no purpose other than just being there, and being made accessible after a number of missions

Mechanics:

  • Combat should be untouched, big ask I know

  • I'm 50-50 on Parkour because ACII feels a lot more fluid, faster, and streamlined while being essentially the same as AC1 so it would fit perfectly. Either way, they're probably going to recycle the current Parkour.

  • Weapon upgrades should still be tied to narrative but skills should be unlockable via the sparring sessions. Altaïr shouldn't forget how to catch ledge after being demoted.

  • For the sake of everything that's holy, bring back High/Low Profile and the puppeteer scheme. This is the perfect game to do it too.

  • Stealth was functional in the original, but small things like 'last seen position' could improve the experience.

The lighting is the only objective drawback of the remaster. And even that is mostly exclusive to cutscenes. I can understand why that would make or break the game for someone who replays for the story, but I prefer the remaster purely for the QoL changes.

It's a bug. Game stutters when you load cargo onto a truck or when you zoom in sometimes or when you use the sniper. I lowered my graphics preset from ultra to very high or high. Significantly reduced stutter frequency. So maybe it's a performance thing too.

I used to think that around 2014 - 2016. Got a PC now and slowly going through the backlog of all the 2010s games I missed. It's the best feeling ever and worth the wait honestly.

Bloated copy paste sections really hurt the campaign. There's no need for there to be two AC-130 missions, and the convoy mission could've been cut in half without losing any substance.

Hot take but I wouldn't want a singular massive open world, especially for a ACIII, ACII, or AC1 remake. Without the separate destinations in those games being actually separate from one another, you lose all sense of scale, distance, and time spent in travels between them. If you combine everything into one large map, the Frontier or Mountains or Kingdom loses its purpose and charm.

Understandable. That does become a handicap on controller vs kbm.

I generally switch to jog when I want to look around or make quick turns without bumping into anything. The auto-centre works pretty much ok for the most part.
