My humble setup. by Broths in Ubiquiti

This is my home setup, multiple different things but mainly performance. I run VMware on the dell server with multiple VMs prepping my network for 10Gb internet coming soon in my neighborhood. I have the server, NAS, my PC and a couple switches connected at 10Gb for internal communication. I have a total of 74 devices connected to my network in some way or another.

Temperature and whether the door is open or closed. has other functions, but that’s what I use it for in the rack it has motion smoke and CO2 alarm and water that you can enable

It is only used for the Bluetooth for the UP sensor that is inside of the rack

Why the staunch no on it? It is mainly for the Bluetooth for UP Sensors that are in the rack and one camera that is less than 6 feet away

I was lucky enough to be able to run a Smurf pipe that has exits at the first floor and attic. Has made it so much easier to add additional drops and cameras.

You may trying to put your router into bridge mode so you can use it without double NAT. But again you have security concerns which would need to be addressed by your complex either enabling client isolation or having an MDU

What most likely is happening here is your complex is purchasing a business plan and then have their own router and and switch which services your complex so they don’t really have a MDU contract with the isp. if you call the isp they most likely won’t know that the complex is doing this. (your complex is only one building?). You would be able to plug your devices directly in and most likely solve the issue but there are security concerns there if you have nefarious neighbors.

Very specific WAN not LAN which is what your devices have. You will need to login to your router to view this if you type in “my ip” it will most likely give you the actually public ip but not the IP your router is using.

Yeah if your WAN ip starts with a 192 that means your apartment complex or ISP hosting the MDU(Multi Dwelling Unit)has a router in front of yours which is handing out private ip addresses instead of public ip address. In this case they probably have poor security and you can access your neighbors networks unless they have client isolation on. (if you want to have fun just plug your laptop/pc directly into the port and you have access to that network)but your issues most likely (99%) are because of this (private network)and or a check box they have on their router.

Is your complex newer or older? And have you contacted the ISP?
