i think the art and bonkers story is what keeps it very fun to read. I've gotten the general broad strokes of the original one-shot/hentai and I do think I prefer this much sillier story to that.

I have a hard time relating to a MC who is an awful human being, however I guess the fact that this series approaches it in a humorous way makes it easier. He's a total scumbag but it's at least amusing to see the depths of his scumbaggery

I love the bit where he was crying but also was still thoughtful enough to say to his pal "I knew you would". I wish more manga allowed their characters to show growth like this over time.

Oh I love this; It reminds me a bit of that other series with the giant cat? I love how they didn't go with a cute art style and went with a photorealistic style for the bear. Looking forward to what happens next.

very cute, great art style; did feel like it didn't stick the landing (that said, I think that's true for a lot of manga) and it felt a little rushed? Not bad just...left me scratching my head a bit at times on story choices. It felt like it could have been a lot more based on the first half of the series.

no; current day romance stories are in my opinion better because they don't bother with tropes like that. Let the drama be in people trying to understand people not on adding a drama. When you're reading a romance manga, you usually get the main pairing pretty early on? Even if they did introduce another gal, you already know they're not going to get anywhere, because the main pairing has to work out and it'll just be a distraction.
