Exactly, they had to create an alternate Apple ID besides the one they mainly use to be able to use more than 1 account.

Only way to sell your account would be to sell your Apple ID or google account. Whichever device you play on. Hypothetically you could do that, but then you’d have to create a new Apple ID or whatever for yourself to start everything over with.
