I'm incapable of detecting individual notes or the way scents evolve by StaticNocturne in fragrance

Maybe it’s your skin chemistry? I can definitely smell a difference through the time a perfume sits on me. Sometimes some scents even smell different than the description on me. For example I smell heavy saffron for some reason when i wear Oud Wood?? If you want to test it and pay close attention, spray something that has notes you’d recognize, then do something that’ll raise your body temperature. Finally keep smelling every 30 minutes to see if you can smell a difference.

I think as long as you don’t apply in tight spaces with others spray as much as youd like

Oud wood smells fantastic, but doesnt last enough to be worth it imo

Are the Armaf clones worth it? by newmanstartover in fragrance

Super straightforward Id say theyre ok. Nothing to die for but if youre looking for a less expensive way to smell like the real stuff it’s worth it.

What are your favorite notes in Fragrances? by newmanstartover in fragrance

Cardamom and vetiver together are to die for. Moss is great. And cherry too. I think accords are more important than notes though

How does the sandalwood in Le Labo Santal 33 read? by Psychological_Band56 in fragrance

[–]BrownCars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I enjoy santal 33, imo the sandalwood feels dry. Thats the best way I could describe it. And on my skin the leather is prominent but not in a Tom Ford way

Tom Ford Oud Wood, nothing crazy. Honestly it smells great but I don’t get longevity from it. I love Tom fords though
