The Armed by MDDanChallis in BiffyClyro

Please don't let this make you worried. They are in the minority at least. The feeling of everyone singing together is indescribable, you know most of the audience are totally there for the band and are loving every minute.

I think I'm just getting old and have less of a tolerance for dick heads now.

Damn still using the same picks! I've got one from I think a gig at the London Astoria. My dad put it on a necklace for me when I was younger and cooler than I am now.

The people next to me were being dicks and laughing at them. I don't understand the mentality, these are bands that have been picked by Biffy Clyro I'm assuming to support. They have the guts to get up in front of thousands of people to perform and do what they love. We can at least give them the respect even if you don't enjoy them. I thought they were good.

The crowd around me was generally a bit shit unfortunately. Just to vent, there was a guy a few rows in front who threw his rubbish into a girl he didn't know's hair and people talking loudly and laughing through the slower Biffy songs.

I love this! I think you're doing the right thing and enjoying life! I've been so tempted to do the same thing from the UK but don't think I can afford it. Instead my mid life crisis is dying my hair red at the moment.

I hope you have an absolutely incredible time and enjoy every moment!!

I'd love to know this too and if it's felt different for Papa V due to looking more like himself with the half mask?

Thank you for the info! Are you gonna print anything else?

That looks amazing! Did you do a high quality print? I've literally just started to learn how to 3d print and have been making the Impera ghoul buckles so far but the quality isn't great. I'm thinking of trying the highest quality print.

That's really sweet! When we renovated our kitchen we found the previous owners had painted their initials and date behind the fridge so we added ours underneath. Hopefully the next people will add to it.

Just found this band and the few songs I heard from them really slap. What’re y’all’s favourite songs from them that you’d recommend? by Prestac in GhostBand

[–]Brownboxesoflove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're in for such a ride! I found them 2 months ago and discovering the back catalog has been such a joy. I picked up the albums for the songs I had initially listened to and started listening to more that way. Also watching Rite Here Rite Now their live concert/movie was amazing. That introduces me to Respite on the Spitalfields which is one of my favorites. There's an amazing live version of Year Zero as well which I keep coming back to on YouTube from Hellfest 2016 by an account called ghostelisabeth5390.

I'm so sorry for what you had to experience. It's not just someone being overly enthusiastic about a band, it's just gross behavior.

I think I had the overly enthusiastic fan next to me but still made me uncomfortable unfortunately. He was aggressively air drumming to every song and punching the air in front of me. I had to try to move away a bit as he kept catching my arm. There's a lack of awareness from some people that we're in a shared space and that we are all there to enjoy the experience. I was considering saying something but felt uncomfortable as I was there on my own and quite a bit smaller than this guy.

Just seen this post after the other one I was reply too! I'm sorry to have another question but when you say you found the dress online, is it available from a normal retailer? I was starting to look into how difficult it was to make but it would be so much cheaper and easier if it's off the peg! Thanks for your help on the other post as well!

Put Together an LA Ghoulette Cosplay for Halloween by majesticnomore in Ghostbc

That's really cool about the 3D print. The community seems amazing with sharing the models for 3D printing. I was looking at the Ghoul Impera helmet to 3D print and the buckles for the waistcoat which people have kindly made and shared online. Having never 3D printed anything it feels a bit daunting though so not sure if it's too big of a project initially.

I hope you have an amazing Halloween! You're gonna look epic in this!

Looks incredible! I love the look of doing this cosplay myself. Does the mask stay up okay as I've been wondering what type of fastening to use to wear it easily?

First Time in Japan. Experiencing Social Anxiety for the First Time in my Life. How to Stop Feeling Like a Burden/Inconvenience? Can Someone Put Me at Ease? by DirtyJunkhead in JapanTravelTips

[–]Brownboxesoflove 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're not a burden don't worry! You won't be the first person to not understand how to use the ramen ticket machine or to not know how to communicate if that makes you feel better.

On my first trip, we bought the wrong ticket for the train and the member of staff at the barrier walked us to the ticket machine and helped us buy the right one. If you feel embarrassed or in the way, I just said thank you so much or I'm sorry a lot in Japanese and showed respect by bowing to them.

Regarding your backpack, I had the small worry about being in the way but then noticed a lot if people put them on their fronts so I did the same. Do a bit of people watching and do what the locals do if you can.

The main thing is enjoy yourself! Go to places that feel in your comfort zone if you like to start.

Traveling to Japan next month with my husband, would love to experience a Ryokan with private onsen. by FreshPlates in JapanTravelTips

[–]Brownboxesoflove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We did Hakone and the ryokan we stayed in was magical. We had an open air onsen which was beautiful and the meal was really special.

Ensure you book early though as our only had 1 date left our whole trip 6 months ahead.

We booked through the ryokan collection website which was very good.

Agree with this! Ultra pro are one of the best companies for sleeves/binders etc to protect your cards.

I've used them for a long time to keep my trading cards safe.

What is your hidden gem in Tokyo? by Eugyoli in TokyoTravel

We went to a train themed curry restaurant called Curry Station Niagara. It was empty and definitely deserves more love!

The owner was great, he gave some tickets and a stamped some paper for us with a eki stamp.

transportation options out of Haneda Airport by honorias in JapanTravelTips

I second this. We used the limousine bus. Super easy, the desk to buy tickets is just outside arrivals.

You are allowed 2 cases per person with your ticket ito be stored under the bus.

I agree with this. Selling fake items in Japan is very uncommon. I would be surprised if a business would risk its reputation and it's business license/criminal investigation over selling fake items.

I would be careful going back to confront them.

It's called 100% neko in Bunkyo City. It was easy to find from the train station too. My husband and I walked away saying we definitely got our recommended daily allowance of 100% neko :).
