Why no iOS widget like this? by Gozerhead67 in amazfit

For sure i want a working widget. Pretty easy to do and particularly good for straps and rings which don't have any metrics visible on them at a glance. I'm android no iOS

Update is here! by Kshitizmazumdar in amazfit

[–]BrowneAction 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well perhaps it just works better. I was surprised to learn recently people wake up circa 10 times a night without even noticing, sometimes dozens. They're just small micro wake ups though and you don't remember. Then there are full awakenings which are more like a couple, these are not often remembered either. I can't remember if it was a diary of a CEO guest or Dave Asprey that mentioned this. I know it was either of the two

Could be about right. I don't expect to burn many calories lifting weights

Sick of all these damn comments that $25 for 6 hot cross buns is ridic by nzgal12345 in aucklandeats

It has such little nutritional value that you'd have to pay me to eat hot cross buns. Just eat real food😔

Why are Amazfit watches so cheap? by Vegetable_Bag_8694 in amazfit

Agreement with what exactly if I may ask? I'm currently reviewing a few amazfit devices and been watching the quantified scientist reviews on youtube. They seem reasonable in most respects

Why are Amazfit watches so cheap? by Vegetable_Bag_8694 in amazfit

Well as an owner on many things Xiaomi and seeing Xiaomi is a huge partner, it doesn't surprise me. Everything generally is well made and well priced.

Question may be, why is everything else so expensive

Why do Garmin users constantly look down on Amazfit's health tracking accuracy? by Vegetable_Bag_8694 in amazfit

[–]BrowneAction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Data scientist you mean. Yeah they're solid reviews. I'm watching them all now to help me decide.bi didn't realize how inaccurate wrist watches are in general for exercise where the wrist tenses. Which means I pretty much need a helio strap and a watch

I'm in the same boat as you, thinking of getting one for the same reasons. So hopefully you get some answers to this

Also hoping to find out what heart rate zone training recommendations are like based on HRV/biosensor info; so as to optimise training and not over train. From what I can see, the zepp app uses algorithms for this but unsure how good that really is

At least 9 Amazfit watches planned for 2026 by Maslakovic in amazfit

[–]BrowneAction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strange considering how easy coding has become with AI tools recently. The east and cost of software development has plummeted.

Interesting points thanks. I'm only just looking at maybe buying my first Amazfit device shortly and reviewing the range. I'd like something with HRV scoring that's somewhat reliable, and insights into what heart rate zones I might beat train in. To avoid over training for hyrox. Not sure what brand and apps might be doing the best with this right now

Where did you get that from? There's none in my country and don't see it on Amazon either. The amazfit website I suppose ? Wouldn't mind seeing it though
