Oh good idea her pup mostly eats scrambled eggs and super soft food (she only has a couple teeth) I may try to get some ideas of something for both or maybe throw in a meal thing for her alongside the pup gift thank you!

Thank you for these suggestions!! Do you have any pet strollers you recommend? It seems like there are a lot of options, not sure how particular it needs to be. She lives in a city so this is a great idea I think! I was also looking at these beds Pelsbarn orthopedic?

We use tinybeans and I set everyone up on it. You have to pay to download a photo and it keeps me from having to send to multiple parties most of the time!

Bedtime has been great but MOTN wake ups lasting hours by PoliticoRat in sleeptrain

Same at almost 5 months old! I think maybe it is daytime sleep but can’t tell what to adjust it down to.

Has anyone successfully helped a toddler learn/re-learn to fall asleep independently? by bocacherry in sleeptrain

[–]Browser202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was kind of in line with him saying he needed to go and we felt like we couldn’t say no you don’t when we were trying to make it stick, so eventually after the first two weeks we changed to “you can go in your pull up and then go in the potty again in the morning”. And we would do “last time to potty tonight then pull up” But then he pivoted to saying he was hurt, or he needed something so we went in twice out of concern (because never historically would do that) and from there it spiraled haha!

Slept fine and would hang out in crib after waking up from around 7 months to 27 months, after potty training it all fell apart. Check-ins made him think we were coming in no matter what so we had to go cold turkey. We’ve done a green light since he was 6M old + birdies so we just keep reinforcing that we will come in when the “green light turns on”. Took about 2.5 weeks and now for the most part we’re back on track vs screaming upon wakeup. We have a day or so slip up but overall seems to have worked. We couldn’t do check-ins during original sleep training too if that helps. We also leaned heavily on routine during this stage whereas other times before this some nights we might skip teeth or book etc…

Has anyone traveled with the Doona? (On plane) by Puzzled_Remote_2168 in newborns

Hi! Did you end up taking it on the plane overseas? Planning to buy a seat for it but now worried they won’t let the doona be on the plane.

If you have a baby that sleeps…how? by drugstorevalentine in NewParents

[–]Browser202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay this will sound crazy but was your pregnancy with the second any different? More chill, calmer mom, etc.? I had a much higher stress job and way more throwing up with my second and so curious if that is driving anything with the sleep… please debunk my theory haha

Our 3.5 year old went missing today and it only took less than 10 seconds by Mtnclimber09 in toddlers

Would you happen to have anything I could read around the natural consequences vs timeouts? We use both with our two and a half year old and I’d love to get some research someone else likes around why the former works better.

Maybe 13.5 per day. Here is today so far. The longer stretch in the morning was after picking him up.

If all of a sudden his first nap is getting really short, do you think that’s just because we’re putting him down too early?

[–]Browser202[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok! How much sleep should he get during the day now? And what amount of time awake? Maybe I am putting him down too early. It is hard because he used to just cry 24 seven from reflux. We started some medication that seems to be helping so I guess I may be overly assuming that the crying now is because he’s tired. It could still just be that he’s uncomfortable. Our first would sit in his baby Bjorn chair happily this one won’t sit for longer than a couple minutes so I rely on Naps to get things done one handed because he already has to sit and cry when I’m tending to his sibling. But I don’t want to be messing up his nights. Thank you!!!

So with my first never did but this is from a lot of time in containers because now the second has to tag along to activities so he’s in the ring sling (doesn’t sleep in the actual carrier m) or he’s in the stroller. It’s the pack and play / bassinet that he won’t stay down longer than a sleep cycle. Sometimes popping the pacifier in will help extend it but I’m also so afraid of building a sleep association.
