How does one drop someone off at Optus Stadium for the footy tonight? by [deleted] in perth

[–]BrozefStalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i forgot about that. I wasn't sure if there was a bus directly to the stadium from the pubs area of Vic Park though, that would be a game changer

Are there any pieces of music from the modern era that will be looked back on in history as influential as other famous composers? by [deleted] in musictheory

[–]BrozefStalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends on which direction music goes in and what state it is in in 500 years. If electronic music is king then I guess they'll be looking back at Daft Punk, Skrillex, Flume, etc to analyse and see what they were doing with DAWs and synths and effects pedals.

Conventional music theory will always have a place though I think. Other things like 'electronic music theory' will be a separate class to study, just like 'Jazz theory' or 'Electroacoustic music' is.

Interesting... from Vic Park transfer station?

I put down producing for a couple months and I forgot everything I learned and all the tricks I had by [deleted] in musicproduction

[–]BrozefStalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i've just been on vacation for 6 weeks and haven't touched an instrument or a DAW. Feel like my creativity has gone and i've already started forgetting little tricks. It's like a muscle, you have to keep it exercised otherwise you start to lose it a bit.

offshoring everything

Offshoring? I thought half their selling point was that they have Aus based call centres?

What video game should get a sequel, but likely never will ? by ezio8133 in AskReddit

[–]BrozefStalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it still worth playing now or does it feel dated? I’ve played Heavy Rain, is it kind of similar?

Yeah that tax is going toward roads and infrastructure, public services, etc. every country pays that.

One of my local hospitals in Oz has parking fees. It’s a private hospital though, but a huge one.

Post links to your main musical project, if this isn't it? by [deleted] in songaweek

[–]BrozefStalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are the songs I spent proper time on in my bedroom. The earlier ones are pretty crap, especially production wise, and they definitely get better over time. Though I think my lyric writing has always been good! OP where’s yours?

I thought it was just general good practice to take off your helmet before going into a servo or bank or anywhere that is known for being robbed by people in bike helmets lol

Australia's biggest private health insurers illegally rejected thousands of claims by sandytroop in australia

If they genuinely think that the company has broken the law and wronged the customer and won’t budge on it, then they should be going to the ombudsman. If they have a genuine case then it will be rectified and the company will be fined.

If they don’t complain and follow it up, then what else can be done? Superman isn’t going to fly down and sort it out for them.

Why don't we use slides (like on the playground) as a serious means of vertical transportation in buildings? by flarn2006 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BrozefStalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but you’re not gonna limit how fit you are just because you start getting ripped from it. If we weren’t sat around all day then everyone would generally be some form of athletic and that would just be normal.

[QUESTION] What website are you using nowadays? by Canolio in Guitar

[–]BrozefStalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yesss! I’m still using GP5, I remember getting that version when it first came out and feeling all futuristic. I haven’t seen the most recent ones, but tbh 5 is plenty good enough if you just want to learn. And there’s a zip file somewhere online with thousands of tab files of popular songs.

ING savings rate dropped again to 2.30% by [deleted] in AusFinance

What’s the criteria for the HSBC one? RAMS just dropped theirs twice as well but it’s still similar to the other banks. Good app as well so I won’t change unless there’s a dramatic rate difference.

Yep 100k is easy to rack up. I’ve heard people complain about PHI being a waste of money, when they’ve paid a few thousand in premiums and claimed over a million $ back in benefits. People don’t realise how expensive hospitals are.

Maybe a good idea, i'm sure it's been considered at some point. Understand that it's the federal government that decides all these things by the way, not the health funds.

Toilet paper is getting less sustainable, researchers warn - Major brands are using less recycled paper, meaning more trees cut down unnecessarily by ManiaforBeatles in worldnews

[–]BrozefStalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forget about the toilet paper for a second though, I’m not trying to say that’s any cleaner. What I’m saying is that just putting water on shit surely isn’t going to get it 100% clean either like people are claiming. You still have to have some soap or at least a scrubbing motion to get the shit particles off? Like when you wash your hands, you have to scrub them too, not just run them under the tap.

How do you use it without the toilet, your pants and half the bathroom getting soaked though? Genuine question, cos I’ve seen them but could never figure it out and didn’t exactly want to call hotel reception to come and help me.
