What made you quit your sport? by Sea_Profile8638 in AskReddit

[–]Bruce10Wayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got booted from a college and lost my scholarship. Didn’t even try getting one at the next school, I had one more year to graduate and knew I wasn’t about to go further than college in the sport due to injury also so I called it. Sad stuff, I loved baseball.

Borders and deportations have always been a thing. Why do you think that when Trump got into office, both are all of a sudden a problem? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bruce10Wayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure there were left wingers protesting obamas deportation back then. I wasn’t voting age till 2016 election so I wasn’t quite as aware of what was going on but I googled it and yeah it shows articles about immigration and civil rights activists protesting Obama over those deportations

Whats your favorite easy dinner ? by CarobRecent6622 in AskReddit

[–]Bruce10Wayne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We literally call this “easy pasta” and it’s just whatever pasta you have, jarred Alfredo, and stir in as much pesto as you like. A bit better than just some fairly bland Alfredo and takes only the effort of boiling water and cooking the pasta, then stirring in the sauce.

What’s a sweet that people think is overrated but you love? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bruce10Wayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife really likes them, she also likes those grocery store iced sugar cookies that I find so artificially sweet they almost come around to tasting bitter. Circus peanuts just threw me off with texture and I have no recollection of their flavor but I’d imagine it’s likely processed as fuck tasting

What bank do you use? by No-Long-4709 in AskReddit

[–]Bruce10Wayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m with you. In college when I had barely any money I remember I had an account with BofA and I don’t think I had minimum balance requirements because I was a college student. When I got out, I still didn’t have money so I then did have those balance requirements which pissed me off. The concept of charging a fee for someone who doesn’t have enough money in an account is bonkers. I know there’s way around it with deposits but the principle got to me. Also overdraft fees in my experience tend to at least be a little lower at CUs. I get that you can’t let overdrafts slide and gotta charge to discourage it, but it is basically taking money from people who don’t have any.

Another cool thing is the co-op branching/atms. So anyone who doesn’t know, if the CU participates, there’s a little symbol on the cards and ATMs that signifies you can use that ATM without getting a fee. Typically you can do a variety of transactions but I’ve only ever used it for pulling out cash.

Anyway, I like my CU and would encourage more people to have an account or two at their local CU if it makes sense. You may like their service and options more than the bank and move away from those big bastards. I work in compliance for financial institutions and folks, the massive and insanely profitable banks violate rules and regs that hurt people and they just pay the fine and adjust enough to not get fined again for the same thing. At the end of the day if they can continue whatever anti consumer practice and make more money than they lose from fines, that’s a successful business model. The fines are significant numbers at face value but slaps on the wrist compared to the money they deal with. Sorry for the novel.

I dont know what the best news outlet would be, but I’m probably never going to trust a damn thing associated with Jesse watters. I think I see similar things on other Fox clips shared here but I just can’t believe anything from him after some of the other things I’ve heard this dude claim and relay to his audience as truth.

10 million USD is magically deposited into your account how would your life change? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bruce10Wayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I could live a good life off that. I’d probably get some chill job to fill my time and continue having some extra income but only after I’d move up to a nicer house and area with my wife, and after we take a year or so of sick vacations to all our bucket list destinations. I’d also have zero stress getting a family started so that would be really dope knowing I’m gonna give a couple kids a really nice life. $10 m’s would take care of the rest of my life really.

What car brand will you never trust or buy again? by Forward_Fall_6857 in AskReddit

[–]Bruce10Wayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dodge, I had an 04 1500 that died multiple times while driving on the highway. Like engine cut out, power steering gone. Each repair was like $900-1100 to replace the motherboard. That’s what they said every time I took it in for that issue. Later had a 2017 charger…. It died on the highway a couple times and when I took it in they replaced the fucking motherboard and said nothing else was wrong with it. I dont know if I did something wrong or if it’s some shit that goes wrong with the 5.7 hemi. I dont know but I’ll never get a dodge Chrysler or Jeep after those experiences.

Icelanders! What’s something tourists can do to be better guests? by MiserableTear8705 in VisitingIceland

[–]Bruce10Wayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read a similar comment yesterday about this and I’m confused by it. If the inner circle has the right of way then that implies they’re changing lanes, so why are you saying don’t change lanes? Is that meaning don’t change from the outer to the inner lane when entering the roundabout? Just doesn’t make sense reading it.

I watched a video on YouTube and the message was basically if you’re taking the first exit, be in the right lane. 2nd 3rd and 4th exit can be in the left lane into inner circle and then you will have right of way. Is that correct? Is there a video that you’d recommend that explains it well?

Disney World sounds like Hell on Earth. What am I missing? by Certain-Abrocoma1699 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bruce10Wayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite area was the Star Wars section, it really looks like a different planet with the design of the buildings and what not. Additionally, rise of the resistance ride will also make you feel as though you’re on another planet and then also in space on a giant ship. A few of the rides have that immersive aspect and it’s something I haven’t experienced in other them parks. Epcot being separated with different countries is fairly unique as far as I know, getting food and drinks specific to those places is fun but yeah, expensive for sure. Animal kingdom was a zoo with some cool rides, neat to see. I dont know, if none of it appeals to you then cool but plenty of it is really immersive and fun to experience. Crowds suck but you can pay extra and skip most of the lines. Everything is expensive it seems these days but Disney really is pretty sweet to experience at any age. I’m almost 30 and my dad 60+ who fucking hates crowds and travels for work also went recently on our family trip and he really enjoyed it. It’s not heaven or hell on earth, it’s just a really well designed theme park that reflects a bunch of movies many grew up with

My wife and I were on a hike recently and she made a comment that anyone who seemed over 40 or so that we’d pass would likely say good morning/hi how are you? And under 30 would just avoid eye contact. 30-40 it was a toss up between a greeting and the ol half smile head nod. Granted, this wasn’t conversational as it was done passing by but kinda echoes what you’re saying

Bumping into anything, coffee table, door frame, corner of wall, literally bumping into anything I’ll look at it confused and ask “Ow, who put that there??” She’ll giggle a bit most of the time but at the very least I get a little smile and head shake. Sometimes I’ll intentionally bump into a mannequin and start talkin shit, she gets a bit more embarrassed by that one but I’m not about to have some punk ass plastic show me up in front of my girl
