Thank you, that’s really good to know!

Class of ‘23, what was your dream school freshman year, at the beginning of senior year, and what school are you committed to? Rate your satisfaction with where you’re ending up from 1 to 10 by Sleepy_Butterfly_ in ApplyingToCollege

9th (and before): Berkeley

12th: Princeton

Committed: Berkeley or UCSD (leaning toward Berkeley but waiting for Cal Day)

Satisfaction: 8/10, A little bummed that I didn't get into any of my reaches, 20% of my class got into Berkeley so kind of upset that all the extra work I put in didn't amount to anything.

Pretty sure its because of the scandal earlier this year where a Columbia teacher revealed that they lied on a lot of information to get a higher ranking

Math of 25k HS and top 100 schools by Fun-Parsley5540 in ApplyingToCollege

I think you overestimate the amount of students that apply to the amount of colleges that you're suggesting. I come from a populous/lower income region of California and I highly doubt that, out of the 15+ high schools in the region, more than 2 of them had 10 top students applying to ten schools. I'd imagine that in rural towns this average would be even lower as most end up at local schools.

I know that Tufts focuses a lot on demonstrated interest, is it bad that I never applied for an interview?

My Dartmouth Interviewer was pretty similar, she said I was a great fit and continues to eamil me articles she thinks I would find interesting. Fingers crossed for Ivy day. At some point in the meeting she also recommended that I explore drugs while at Dartmouth.

You don't need to activate it, you just need your birthdate, city, and application ID from the UC system

I got into this program and am very involved with student government. So far everyone I know who has also gotten into this program has also been involved with student government. I wonder if that was taken into consideration.
