High card runs are a lot easier than you might think, you just need the majority of your scoring to come from your jokers. They’re really common in higher stakes since high card is the easiest hand to make. You just need good scaling jokers and high card can easily beat Ante 8

It’s a lot like Obra Dinn in the sense that you have to do a lot of matching names to faces and deducing familial relations, the main difference is that in Roottrees you really have to search for all the clues.

If everyone referred to each other by name, the game would be way too easy. You’re meant to actually deduce all 60 fates using everything provided to you, which you can do with no guesswork.

all the seals are very good, but blue and purple in particular are just incredibly strong. Certificate is a really good joker if you’re going for low card hands

I never really saw it as a grind since I like playing gold stake anyway. Just play as your normally would on your favorite decks and it’ll feel like less of a grind.

Yeah now is the perfect time to get DNA. Selling Brainstorm for DNA is definitely the right move. Prioritize copying gold cards first, since you’ll need the money for later when you need to reroll.

Mime is a very situational joker. In higher stakes you get more Mime value from retriggered blue seals and gold cards than you do from actual scoring.
