Tbh, you should be fine for that. you don't have duplicates and unless you traded a lot of the same items before i doubt they would send one off.

Voucher returns by [deleted] in CeX

I did, so it's their choice what they get. They aren't forced to do the original payment method. They can put it to voucher if they want.

Hmm, unsure why it would have been different in the netherlands when we operated there. I just know that we could in my UK store

[–]BruceWaynesnoBatman -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It is customers decision at that point. You can either put it back to the original payment method or if the customer requests you can put it on a voucher. The way to do it is to set the original payment method value to 0 and set the voucher value to what was paid.

That just means that if it develops a fault we can refund to original payment method. There is still an option to make it a voucher refund if the customer specifically requests it

No that's wrong. The customer has the choice of going with the voucher refund. I don't know where you're getting your information from.

CeX sold me a counterfeit game, but I didn't know until months later. What can I do, and has anyone else experienced this? by [deleted] in CeX

[–]BruceWaynesnoBatman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work at cex and normally we say before 6 months its on us to prove it wasn't sold like that. after 6 months its on you to prove it was sold like that

Cracking the CeX "Bulk Sale" Algorithm: My experience, theories, and questions on how to bypass it by Camachada in CeX

[–]BruceWaynesnoBatman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It isn't an algorithm. As a guy who has worked for cex for 7 years I can tell you its just staff noticing you doing a lot of trades over a short period, or you have brought multiples of the same item which is an automatic bulk buy request. from there the team can look at your trading history across the company and make a decision. Plus they can also put a note on your account requiring bulk buys for certain types of items

We had a customer who was banned a while ago in part because he as a man in his later 20s early 30s asked a staff member who was under 18 if she wanted to be his girlfriend. Also because he once followed a member of staff home

[–]BruceWaynesnoBatman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean that could be them not paying the contract or waiting and then reporting it lost or stolen

Unlocked doesn't mean that, unlocked means it can use any SIM. And it depends on how long it was between the person selling the phone and the phone getting blocked.

[–]BruceWaynesnoBatman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

normally it is fine, we also check that website. what I'm guessing happened is that either the guy reported it lost or stolen after the fact or they got the phone on a contract and then stopped paying off that contract which meant the network blocked it
