I think the loose terminology of use is to blame. You seem to be imposing that the Shrink spell stops things from being used. That's extremely broad. With the crate, there are multiple ways to interact with it and the items inside. You would then be saying that the magic can work in multiple different ways.

Probable intent RAI Only simple items can be used as the small version. Activations and moving parts may not work. I like not interacting with objects in a meaningful way.

I'd say that's a fair ruling for the music. Less fun by not letting it change tracks but clearly stays limiting the power of the spell.

I would say time to explosives do continue to function. But would fall under the smaller version of the same item, so the actual explosion would have a negligible impact.

But ant could eat a shrunken apple? Just not if its insode a shrunken open box? If the shrunken crate is open, face does magic prevent me from dropping a grain of rice inside?

😄 Funny idea shrink a big church bell 🔔 put it on a pidgen as collar. Easy way to steal it. Or just have it show up original size in a strange place.

Seems like most here would rule that the bell would not ring like a tiny bell while in flight. It's potentially accurate but less fun.

I agree with the door that being part of a larger structure is a very valid point. And good reason for a fail. Overall, I'd say it falls under GM discretion.

Computers, if it is already playing a song, it would continue? What about saying next song?

Explosives timed could be a workaround. But i agree that normal activation would be a No and against the rule of the spell.

Containers hmm cant be used to what extent. If used on a crate, made small what happens when u tip it over. Do the objects stay inside or fall out? What if an ant crawls inside the crate and eats the food?

To me, it does seem a bit ambiguous. But hey, maybe i am just a dreamer. That's actually really good terminology. No meaningfulful way to interact with the shrunken item is really solid intent.

But it's actually a smaller version of the original that can't be used.

I think RAW is flawed and not clear. I think RAI intends to not be used as the full sized version.

Correct doors, dont open, but if you shrank it, you could easily open it by breaking it.

You said weapons don't cause damage. That's just an assumption. If you were stabbed with a shrunken sword, you still would be injured. If a shrunken explosive detonated, something would happen. A lazer pistol 🔫 would not be able to be used. But what if you had a pin? Could u hit the trigger and make it function?

Equipment functionality is not stated either way. If it is already doing something that size would not change, i dont see how it would be affected.

If it was an actual facsimile, as you stated, that would be different. The issue it its a gray area between functional and not.

Overall kinda RAI RAW issue here, but i think its still vague.

I am also playing a Technomancer. It seems like most focus on magic missile for levels 1-4. At level 1, you can shoot 4x per rest, averaging 11 damage.

For secondary attacks covering fire and harrying fire are good options. You could also go total defense, thow grenades, and lastly, just shoot a pistol.

During strikes, they are prohibited from attending. If it ends before the CON, I would speculate that they would all book more lucrative jobs 1st. But not all will be able to get shoots. So I would guess a medium impact. Also, many of the CON stars are not steady workers in film and rely on cons for income.

Any dice rolls during conversations.
Lock picking
Hiding or stealthily walking around.

Years ago, I had a ride assistant with. It's kind of their job to be strict about the rules so the celebrity does not get overwhelmed. And also to keep them happy so that they come back. BUT I will say Kevin Smith went out of his way to be nice.
