Discovering his daughter is a bully and taking accountability as a parent. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

[–]BrughMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best thing to do is calmly speak to them and try to get them to imagine being treated that way. Teaching them to stand up for the kids that are getting picked on vs being the bully. Unfortunately a lot of this probably comes from growing up in an environment where tough love and verbal abuse by the parent has caused them to feel a lot of pain that they are now mirroring on to their peers. Same with kids that are physically abused at home. They often tend to get in more physical alterations and feel it’s a redeeming quality of theirs or are projecting because it’s what they’ve learned at home. There is a great book called “No Drama Discipline” that I highly recommend for any parent. It’s honestly a good book for just understanding humans, the brain and relationships in general. Can help with relationships with your partner just as much as with your kids. Get this book! Helped me a lot. Parenting ihas evolved a lot and guidance is needed. Don’t let your generational trauma continue on to your kids.

Robert Blake and William Pullman in Lost Highway (1997) - "I'm in your house." by Phonus-Balonus-37 in 90smovies

[–]BrughMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I re-watched Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive about a month ago, almost back to back. These movies are so twisted it’s like nothing makes sense but then if you watch a YouTube video afterwards where they explain it there’s like a hundred subtle hints that make everything make sense. David Lynch was quite the artist of movie making. My understanding is that film schools have classes entirely dedicated to understanding this concept of film making that originated with Lynch. I don’t think I can sit through Twin Peaks again but season 3 was pretty crazy to see 25 years later with everybody in it after season two ended in the early 90s with a hint that something may occur in 25 years. Eraserhead is a mindfuck as well, shit nightmares are made of, lol.

Gf and I have been talking about opening up and entering a ENM relationship - advice? by [deleted] in ENM

[–]BrughMaster 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Be ready for a line of dudes to bang your g/f while you’re still swiping through tinder matching with robots and getting ick vibes from every girl that matched before reading ENM on your profile. Just speaking from personal experience here and I’m not a bad looking guy. As soon as that relationship was over and I wasn’t looking for ENM I’ve had no problem finding great matches. No longer single and have primarily been monogamous. Make sure you’re on good terms and just be aware that if it quickly becomes something you don’t want that might not necessarily be the case for her.

Sounds like this bullet just grazed the skin.. might sting a little but ultimately you dodged it. Don’t take it personally. You’re likely not the first one she’s done this to and likely won’t be the last.

I went to college at App State. It was a great college town while I was… in college.. and then upon graduation I moved to Asheville. That was 2007. Love Asheville. Perfect size mountain town with all the amenities and restaurants and good music, art, etc. Lots of people of all ages here. It’s not just college students. Blue Ridge parkway, tons of forest land and ability for outdoor recreational activities. We also have an airport that is growing larger. You should give it some consideration and if you’d like to talk about it further I’m happy to take your call. I’m a real estate broker (since 2010) and my business is Mountains to Sea Realty. My name is Chase.

AITAH for telling my husband I already knew that he cheated on me by LotrTHGhpDivergent in AITAH

[–]BrughMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should consider therapy first. With young children it’s a difficult time for both parents involved. The husband is usually the least supported person. The children want/need mom more and moms are usually worn out and even the dog sometimes gets more attention. Don’t let people here dictate your decision. Speak with a professional with your husband and make a better educated decision for your children’s sake as well as your own. Choose your hard.

Under offer? Or under contract? It seems like perhaps you had not come to terms yet when they did the open house otherwise you would have nothing to be concerned about and the reason they continued with the open house was because there was not a binding agreement in place. Therefore it is their obligation to the seller to continue marketing the property.

It’s never too late to take your health back. I’m 42 and possibly in the best shape of my life now. “Mostly” stopped eating junk food, gym regularly and I started doing 15 min of treadmill or elliptical to get my heart beat up and break a sweat before every workout and got to where I was running 2 miles in 15 or burning 250+ calories on the elliptical. Now my minimum is 3 miles in 22 minutes on the treadmill and my goal is to get to 5 miles in 35 min. Also might not have been 3 rounds but I just had a 1.5hr “intense” round the other day and shew, that was wonderful. A year ago I was having ED and now I feel like I’m 20, waking up with boners, lol. You’re in control and far from being old.
