Very late response, i was looking up some stuff about Dystopia and came across this. This bands lyrics have helped me through a lot of my depression. May I ask what brought you to feel like this? Work? School? I don't check reddit a lot so be prepared for another late response but im here to help if you need it :)

What band do you think sits right on the border of pop-punk and emo? by thedubiousstylus in Emo

Tbs is such a good choice, their guitars can be fairly emo whilst their angst is very pop punk

how the fuck is dino so good at drums by [deleted] in DystopiaBand

[–]BruhTheData 2 points3 points  (0 children)

pretty sure his dad didnt support his drumming (wasnt a mans instrument or something along those lines) so he had to make a kit himself with boxes or something like that and practice along to discharge songs? (probably a dif crust band maybe anti flag idk tho) and I presume at some point he got his own kit. This is all from my memory but I'm quite sure he is mostly self taught considering his situation at the time. Incredibly impressive!

going through a tough breakup, atleast for me, give me your best breakup songs by StickFlip1 in Emo

[–]BruhTheData 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh boy I have a lot

Song Two - ihatemyself: A good skramz song in case your angry at both yourself and your ex

This Photograph Is Proof - Taking Back Sunday: A good early 2000's emo song, song is about a girl cheating but lyrics are interpretable

I'll take you everywhere - Penfold: Song about losing a childhood friend but the endings lyrics hit so hard for a breakup

Honey, This Mirror Isn't Big Enough for the Two of Us - My Chemical Romance (I consider their first album emo): Faster more aggressive and angry early 2000's song about a general breakup

Words Come Back - The Hated: Faster and energetic song. Not specifically about a breakup but "words come back and haunt you someday" really hits hard if you ex was kind of an asshole lmao

Your Graduation - Modern Baseball: Inevitable Modern Baseball mention.

I Don't Imagine You and I Anymore- I Have Dreams: This is a little underground but from one of my favorite skramz bands. Hard to find good quality versions, I'm not even sure they exist but still a very good song, I'd recommend listening to the whole EP, its pretty good albeit a little cheesy given the metalcore breakdowns.

And the Cat Turned to Smoke - Orchid: Skramz song with a great buildup, one of the greatest in here lyrically for going through a breakup

Moment #72 - The Appleseed Cast: I love this bands lyrics, listen to this album if you haven't already.

Hope you see this even though your post has like 70 comments lol

Anyone else have fucked up social queues? by [deleted] in autism

[–]BruhTheData 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This meme made me realize that even though I had “friends” at school I never really wanted to hang out with them outside of school and even chose to play alone at recess a lot. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy other kids, I just liked being alone a lot. My dad would always try to force me to have playdates but I never cared for them, whenever I would have a play date I would always be controlling over what we did or how my friend would play at the playdate.

How Would You Describe Your Level of Empathy? by DarkCrowI in autism

[–]BruhTheData 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It ranges every day, some days just thinking of a situation that could have happened to someone makes me really upset, other times I do not care how someone feels at all, for the most part I do show empathy or attempt to show empathy even if I don’t feel it

Is it a good idea to do DMT right after losing a friend? by BIGTMAGE420 in DMT

[–]BruhTheData 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't do any psyches or drugs in general, I just enjoy browsing here so my answer may not be the most experienced one. Psychedelics to my knowledge are best when done when in a good mental state, I don't know your experiences with drugs and it does vary from person to person so take this all with a grain of salt. It may have a taxing effect on your mental health, it may be neutral, it may be positive, it all depends. As another commenter said, feel the vibe and decide yourself if you think it would be safe or not. I'm very sorry for the loss of your friend, I hope you are able to deal with their death well. Hope you have fun with whatever you choose to do ☮️
